Slow play

2 X 4 balls in front of us and both treating it as a mess around. Waiting on the green to be clear on a 400 yd plus fairway then only driving 50 yds. In the waiting time just running around. Don't get me wrong I'm no expert golfer but this was too much. So fed up never completed the round and finished on 16th. 2 X 4 balls waiting at every tee from 11 hole. Sorry but it's going to be a long time before I go back

Enjoyable

The first day after lockdown was always going to be busy. Our first 9 never really got going due to the amount of golfers on the course. Luckily we booked a mid afternoon tee time so by the time we had reached the 10th the course was fairly quiet.

The course was in excellent condition. Fairways were good, greens the same albeit quite slow, but it is still early in the year, and in whole a very enjoyable round.

Winter Golf

After a lot of rain the course was set up to accommodate the course staying open without completely wrecking it, which was brilliant. Was a great round, very slow though. The pro still using the old paper booking system so not updating BRS/Golf Now quickly enough so many tee times from 8am-12pm were double booked. Other than that we’ll definitely be going back. Make sure to grab a bacon sandwich and a coffee from the clubhouse before!

Well over subscribed

The club has obviously tried to cash in on a weekend when most other courses in the area have closed due to the bad weather. The golf now app showed that there were tees available all day. However this was clearly incorrect.

As a result we were behind 8 groups (mostly 4 balls) on the first tee.

The pro gave us some free range balls for our troubles whilst we waited, although after coming back 45 mins later the tee was still backed up. Even when the course was obviously rammed the pro was still accepting walk-ins.

Every tee there was a 10 minute wait and this was the longest round I have ever had, even when 2 holes were shut.

Great course

Not very easy to find after leaving M62,needs a sign post at the roundabout. Apart from that the staff were very friendly and well coming, the course was well kept and was enjoyable to walk around.

Nice course, good value.

Well maintained course, nice layout, few interesting holes and easy to walk. Club house, pro shop and members all friendly. Well worth the fee paid and would play again.

Lovely flat course

Played Boothferry a few times. Usually fairly quiet and tee times are plentiful. Well kept course with good clubhouse and friendly staff from pro shop to bar.

Walked

A good day out until the rain shower

I played here a couple of months ago and was impressed. I persuaded a friend to join me.

He is looking to play here again.

The course was lush green. The green staff had done their work before we played. The rain was expected which probably accounts for so few people playing.

The course played true and gave a challenge without destroying one's confidence.

On my list of courses to revisit.

Great track

The course is in good condition and played really well. We had no hold ups at all. The greens played slower than expected but overall had no complaints. Great value for the £14 we paid. Highly recommend it.

Happy golf

Great course for middle to high handicap golfers.

Have visited five times this year and it's a course that gives you a chance for good score but can punish you if not careful !!. (15 handicap)

Played on 12.11.16 after real heavy night of rain and the course was great, greens no signs of water and ran really well.

Recommend a try to anyone.
