Stunning.

One of the very best if not the absolute best course I've played on. The quality is first rate, tees, fairways and greens all in top condition which is a real credit to the staff there.

The layout is superb with a good blend of hard and easier holes.

It's beautifully tended with plenty of flowers around to brighten things up and a good number of rain shelters around in case things turn nasty.

The putting green and practice areas are also nice.

Highly recommend and I'll be going back there fairly soon.

Great little hidden gem

First time playing here, staff very friendly , bloke met us on the first tee box and gave us an understanding of the course,

Fairways and greens in top condition

Couple of holes play the same green off different tee box however for the condition and price of the course we didn’t mind it

Hidden Jem

12 holes, play 1-5 again, then 12, from mostly different tees. Fantastic greens, very quick and beautifully maintained. Great friendly warden, gave me some history and course notes (needed on the 7th).

Great little course

Lovely course with greens in great condition.

Was very quiet first thing, but picked up towards midday.

its a 12 hole course and you play 6 holes twice but off slightly different tees. This isn't a problem, but does mean you can sometimes then get held up on the last few holes by people playing them for the first time.

Not a Hidden Gem

Where do we start, not worth £29.50 and this was verified by a member who joined our 3 ball, it's not value for money by no means, overall the course was in fair condition, the greens were in good condition. The signage does need looking at, as stated it was lucky we had a member to show the route to some holes. When it becomes busy I can see you having a long wait on certain tees due to it been 18 tees and only 12 greens. Overall won't be going back to the course, as there are better course and at a better rate in the Doncaster area.

Hard work paying off.

This course seems to get better every time I play here and looks like the constant investment is not stopping soon. The staff are really friendly, welcoming and very hard working. The course is in beautiful condition from the fairways to the greens. The paths look to have been recently re-dressed with new stone which looks great. Talking with the warden there is a newly installed building which will hopefully sell food and drink, with the possibility of golfing accessories ie. balls, tees etc.

Drax golf signage

Hi

I haven't played Drax for a couple of years, but I was very impressed with the condition of the course. The only criticism is the signage to each tee. It is easy to get lost, and we met a couple of elderly gentlemen who were struggling to find their next tee. Please add better and more signs to each tee.

Definitely would not play again!

There’s a 5 minute walk down the main road to the course from parking facilities, shared tees for some of the holes which you play twice which just leads to pace of play being dreadful! The course wasn’t in bad condition but would not advise anyone to play here unless you like sitting round waiting for 10 minutes to play the same hole you have already played

A Lovely Course

It's called "Yorkshire's Hidden Gem" and it is. A lovely course with really good greens. Only 12 holes but play 6 twice mostly from different tee boxes. A really good challenge .

Not a proper 18 hole course

We didn’t really like the course. A long walk from car park to first tee. Some greens shared and tee s played from twice. It’s not a proper 18 hole course
