Buxton high peak

Course is abit hilly , which was expected for where it is . The course is full of character and interesting holes . It’s not all about getting the big gun out , it’s about thinking your way around. It’s the first time I’ve played the course and would definitely play it differently next time . It’s a bit of the beaten track but well worth the journey. Definitely worth a visit .

Immaculate

The course was in amazing condition after a few weeks of very hot weather. Greens staff have earned their money!

If you are unsure about playing I think you should do it, it's great walk with great views and some of the holes you play are amazing. Little par 3 that test you and forgiving fairway that are findable without to much to wreck your wonderful day here

Not as hilly as you’d think for Buxton!

Very friendly in the pro shop as we arrived. Really well stocked shop too

Found out we were paired up with another 2 ball as we were booked via GolfNow. cracking pair of lads as it turned out

Greens were in amazing condition and so was the course in general. We were playing the day after captains day so we got the course at its best!

Some really nice interesting holes, particularly the par 3s. Some pretty mundane ones too. The 9th was a weirdly dull straight par 5 in the middle of a field, but most holes were decent. Plenty of sand to make it tricky in general (luckily only found one) and lots of undulations on the holes that face some nasty bounces to keep it interesting

One thing missing from the course was bins. Didn’t see one and would be nice to bin rubbish rather than carry it around with us.

Generally a great track that’s well worth a visit!

Lovely course but some holes have uneven ground which can make a good straight shot deviate off course upon impact making it more challenging for a high handicapper

Mixed

An odd course for me, quite hilly, with very fast and hard greens. Crossed the road to something that looks and feels like a field. Also a bit perplexed by the number of people walking dogs across the fairways and people playing in trainers and with trousers tucked into socks (possibly visitors, as also very slow and wayward). Car park and Pro shop very small, course card looked like a photocopy.
