Nice
Nice course in good conditions.
a few hidden hazards which make it difficult the first time you play (shot selection would've been different if i had known on a few holes)
Staff and other members very welcoming
Views around the course are absolutely stunning
Pleasant surroundings
Long tough, pleasant Derbyshire peak course, with great views.
Worth every penny
Just wow what a course in amazing condition the greens where some of the best seen in long time overall great course go and try it won’t be disappointed at all
Absolute cracker of a course
Superb morning of golf. The course is great to play, beautiful views, interesting and sometimes forgiving (which I need) holes. Even some showers couldn’t dampen our spirits round here, held up to the downpour well. Greens were still lovely and fairways all fantastic.
New toilets and showers if that’s useful to you.
Parkland course with views
Low handicapper. Enjoyable course, generally short but with some interesting holes. Greens true, soft bounce.
Pro shop staff were very friendly and accommodated additional requests. Clubhouse is like a pub/house but comfy.
A bit of walking between some holes, if you struggle with mobility get a buggy.
A hidden Gem
Give this course a try, it’s worth the drive out. Lovely layout, some tough holes that you have to think about. Greens in great condition & and obviously the views are unreal, Will be visiting again definitely
Good day
Always an interesting course to play, played many times over the years, but probably the last time, as now needing a buggy ,and buggy prices have increased by 50% in the last year .they prefer to see the buggies parked up rather than rent at a sensible price.
Top course
I had a great day today at this surprisingly terrific course that I'd driven past far too many times over the years without playing.
The course layout is excellent and the greens are without doubt the best I've played. I'll definitely be calling back whenever I get the chance.
Great course and welcoming members
A decent sunny day finally and some great holes and course in very good condition.
Very friendly atmosphere in a packed clubhouse. Will certainly return ..
Bank holiday 2 ball
Booked this based on the reviews and we weren’t disappointed!
Bit of a strange start as I played at the wrong marker (18th), instead of following to the left of the road for the first 4 holes.
Really warm welcome and well stocked pro-shop. One of the most interesting courses I’ve played and even in the drizzle, the views are amazing!
Plenty of blind holes and to be honest, some could do with a bell, as takes a while to see the group in front. 4th has a really interesting hazard that of course I found! Have to cross a busy road twice which kept us alert.
Fairways and greens are in great nick, tees could do with a bit of tlc.
Would love to play again and perhaps take in Cavendish as well.
you need to play it twice to get the maximum enjoyment out of this course
A lovely gol course with many interesting holes. A second visit would be much more enjoyable than your first as some local knowledge would reap great rewards.
A little noisy in parts with the busy road bisecting the course. Not as hilly as you might think - so good from that point of view. At the top end I would pay (£28) for a round without knowing in advance what I'd be faced with.
Great condition after days of rain
Travelled to the course after numerous days of heavy rain expecting temporary greens to be in use
Greeted by some club members who offered us a warm welcome to the club which was also received by the club Pro Carl, such a pleasant guy very accommodating friendly and informative, he advised us of any course issues of 2 temp greens, which actually weren’t in force all main greens, course in great condition. Had a drink afterwards members again very friendly making the whole day special
Hi u5597844
Really pleased you enjoyed the course as always.
Our buggy prices have only increased £5 in the last 4 years which is to reflect the new buggies we had last year and the increase in the price of electric. At £30 per round we believe it is good value and in keeping with other courses in the area, and most days all buggies are booked out.
