A little damp

The course was quite wet but we have had a lot of rain. The winter greens were not the best.

It is a decent, challenging course.

Different

What a great course very different from what we normally play as they are usually parkland courses, this was a bit links like in places but very enjoyable.

Amazing course!

I brought my girlfriend (15 handicap) here for her 30th birthday weekend. We got caught in terrible weather for the first 7 holes, however, the sun soon came out and we had 3 hours of fantastic golf. The views at Buxton and High Peak are sublime. The course was playing well even with the weather we experienced. The staff were brilliant and gave us some vital local course information. All in all, a wonderful course with great flow and character. Would recommend to all.

Great scenic course, worth a visit

We had an enjoyable round , helped with a gorgeous sunny and warm day. Shorts and short sleeves were the order of the day. A friendly and warm welcome in the clubhouse. Scorecard and course map given.

The course was in excellent condition, with fairways as good as the start of a summer. Signage was excellent with hole information on each tee. The yardage plates were clearly seen.

The views from all holes were great and at times we had to absorb where we were on a late September Tuesday.

The greens were good, a little bit of sand on some but understandable after the rain last week and prep for the winter.

An enjoyable day on a lovely golf course. We play a different course each week and this is up there with the best.

Well done to all at the club.

Buxton & High Peak GC

Nice course with some challenging holes. Disappointing greens though unfortunately; some fast, some slow, some patchy, some sandy. Always very windy up there, which gives it an almost lincs feel

and some great views too.

No idea...

The course is nicely maintained and in a lovely spot but it should be made clear if you are a high handicapper you have no chance here. The wind is a nightmare, and also the hills are a pain. The tee shots are nearly all blind so even if you hit a good one, it's nigh on impossible to find your ball. All in all it wasn't an enjoyable experience. Yes, I am new to the the game and dreadful but felt the course was demoralising, even for my pals who are half decent. Disappointing day overall.

Great course, very challenging

First time I have played here & my first 18 holes!

Without too much frame of reference it is quite a challenging and technical course but again my frame of reference is limited.

The greens were very sandy but I'm guessing with Winter on it's way then this is essential maintenance but slightly frustrating when playing.

OK but could have been much better.

Good course and friendly staff. Unfortunately several greens had ongoing work and no prior notice from club which is very disappointing and spoiled what could have been a very enjoyable round. Also too many blind holes and passing traffic potentially dangerous for visitors

Pleasant course, but too many blind drives for my liking. Course in decent nick apart from the greens had been tined and top dressed but not brushed in. Wish we'd known in advance

Thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Greens were hollow tined and only half the green was in use.
