Calverley Golf Club

Course has to green s on temporarys but the remaining greens and course are in great nick at the moment

Played just after lockdown and was told that the greenstaff had been furloughed which we could tell however the course now is looking very good. Bunkers have been out of play at the club since the pandemic so didnt have to play out of them but the greens run true and smooth, two with drainage works on them however the temps are still good. Fairways cut down and rough is good. For the money we paid I cant complain. Ver enjoyable

Nit sure about the recent history, but three temporary greens were in play and the rest of the greens were in poor condition, now this could be down to greenstaff being furloughed and if so, i apologise, the bunkers were empty and in extremely poor too

The greens are in a terrible state.

A lot of changes and maintenance. Would wait till this is sorted before playing there again.

Probably OK for a social duffer and your not too fussed about the green condition.

Course needs alot of work not one green runs true ok for abit of iron play.

holes 17 and 18 closed. 2 green were temporary worse than a football pitch. Fairways had 1 to 2 inch of grass.. Overall worst golf course i played on. Better pitch and puts than this place.

general condition poor tho greens okay horrible layout which had been changed since last time played. didnt enjoy it and wont go again.

As someone fairly new to golf, all golfers on the course were very welcoming and friendly. The course was in superb conditions, far better than the greens at any of the other courses I’ve played at in the area. A challenge for both new and experienced golfers, I’ll be back!

Bunkers all overgrown, some fairways too long.

Apart from the first the greens were really good.

Grass in fairways way too long no sand in bunkers overgrown with weeds you after wait because public walking across the middle

Wasn’t the best day to play based on weather conditions. But was still enjoyable. Wasn’t clear where the fairways were as most holes just had rough and more rough as most of the holes needed mowing. Greens were kept well though. Nice course with challenging hopes and very nice food and drink in the clubhouse afterwards. An absolute bargain for £10 for 18 holes so I guess you get what you pay for. Would go back

Used to play this course about 15 year ago and it was always a pleasure to play.

The fairways were not cut the first cut was un kept the greens although some where in good condition most had unrepaired pitch marks, the tee boxes take a bit to be desired and there was no directions, on the 8th tee we followed a four ball who went up the 14th, luckily for us the group on the 14th advised us the right way.

A shame a very nice course seems to have gone down hill
