About
Highly touted Buffalo Creek has been praised for its layout, condition, and overall attention to detail. No matter who you talk to in the DFW area, they all seem to praise the superb condition of the course from tee to green. Offering a 7,078-yard par 71 Jay Morrish/Tom Weiskopf design, Buffalo Creek offers a good combination of holes: straight holes, dogleggers, uphill and downhill shots, and both long and short holes.
One of the best features is the club’s method of using a pin location sheet to mark exactly where each pin is located on a particular day (up to six locations), which is unbelievably helpful to hacks who’ve never played the course before and have no feel for the look and contour of the greens.
Getting there : Take I-30 east from Dallas and exit Ridge Rd. Turn right and find the course 1.6 miles down on the left.

Will Definitely Be Back!
This is a nice course, the 1 handicap hole was definitely the hardest hole and the 5’s, though there’s only 3, were challenging, but not impossible to conquer. I really enjoyed this course and will be back soon.
Excellent course, fun design.
The Weiskolf designed course offers some easy holes mixed in with several others that make you think about your tee shots. Great value in the price. Friendly staff.
You can see the course is well maintain fairways and greens in excellent condition. First time playing the golf course and will definitely be back to play it again.
One of the best courses in The Dallas area
I live in the Highland Park area and I love driving out to Buffalo Creek and taking this course on. I was a fan before and after all the repairs it is amazing! Beautiful white sand bunkers, great tee boxes, rolling fairways beautiful scenery and smooth , fast greens. A must play for any golfer!
Much Improved
The changes they have put into the course are paying off. Much better sand in the bunkers. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are in great shape. I would not hesitate to go back.
High end neighborhood; high end pricing
The course continues to show improvements following the freeze in February. The sand traps and most tee boxes have been replaced and are in great condition. Fairways play well, but the greens are just ok. I guess being located in an upscale neighborhood warrants the almost double weekend rates than other courses in the areas. The value is lacking as the weekend rate and cart is $75, for a course that isn’t much nicer than others. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Pace of play on this day was crazy slow, and honestly my group didn’t finish the round due to back ups on every hole in the back 9. Incomplete groupings (3 or less) caused delays.
Fun course great people
I was in town for a wedding and was able to get out to Buffalo Creek. The staff greeted me right away and gave me the option to get out earlier. The conditions were fantastic and the course presented a great challenge. Had some great merchandise as well ended up getting a new hat and polo. Also had a great chicken sandwich I was able to enjoy after the round. Great work all around
