About
Highly touted Buffalo Creek has been praised for its layout, condition, and overall attention to detail. No matter who you talk to in the DFW area, they all seem to praise the superb condition of the course from tee to green. Offering a 7,078-yard par 71 Jay Morrish/Tom Weiskopf design, Buffalo Creek offers a good combination of holes: straight holes, dogleggers, uphill and downhill shots, and both long and short holes.
One of the best features is the club’s method of using a pin location sheet to mark exactly where each pin is located on a particular day (up to six locations), which is unbelievably helpful to hacks who’ve never played the course before and have no feel for the look and contour of the greens.
Getting there : Take I-30 east from Dallas and exit Ridge Rd. Turn right and find the course 1.6 miles down on the left.

Course Review
The winter storm did a lot of damage to the course. Still plenty of bare spots in the fairway and around the green. A number of tee-boxes are currently under repair. Some of the greens have also been damaged.
Played this past Sunday (6/6) and it was a five hour plus round, Having a five some two groups ahead of us sure didn't help. 3.5 out of 5.
Great course!
First time playing this course and I will 100% be back! The layout of the course was very well done and looked very impressive as well as VERY challenging. The greens were nice and fast and the staff was great! Well worth the money, I will be back next week!
New owners & Management company are awesome
The course is in amazing shape since the last time I played which was prior to the new owners. They are making some serious strides at putting this course back the the condition it deserves. Given the hard winter we had, there were a few dead tee boxes which is to be expected but absolutely nothing ruined this round.
Good time
The course was in great shape for the time of year. Challenging but not to hard for me. Definitely look forward to going back and playing again.

This was my first time playing this course. It was perfect weather. The fairways were
dormant so the ball rolled quite a bit. The greens were fast but not difficult to read. I highly recommend playing this course.
Great Experience
All around amazing experience at Buffalo Creek. Practice facilities are great, starter was very helpful for a first timer like myself, and course was in great shape. Had a very therapeutic early morning round by myself. One of the best golf experiences I’ve had anywhere in DFW. Give it a go.
Quality layout, in great shape
First time playing here and it was a great experience. $64 gets you cart, green fee, and a bag of range balls to warm up with beforehand. Very good value.
Greens - smooth, FAST. Overall excellent. Best feature of the course.
Fairways - good overall with only a few small areas struggling. Occasionally a muddy or concrete-ish lie but for the most part if you’re on the fairway, you get a soft lie.
Tee Boxes - pretty flat overall with only a few needing a little leveling. Was able to find a flat area to tee off from on every box.
Course layout - lots of shots that you really need to think through beforehand. Course knowledge goes a long way here. We will be back.
Terrific course; excellent service
I played Buffalo Creek for the first time today. Fantastic.
The layout is interesting, but not punishing. Ok, a few holes were pretty hard.
The conditions were excellent today. Greens are fast, but fair. Greens, fairways and tee boxes in great shape.
Kudos to Buffalo Creek for service. Everyone was friendly -- from bag drop (they met us with carts at the car), check-in, starter, drink cart women, snack bar staff. The management here has instilled a really great attitude with the staff.
