Buffalo Creek Golf Club

About
Highly touted Buffalo Creek has been praised for its layout, condition, and overall attention to detail. No matter who you talk to in the DFW area, they all seem to praise the superb condition of the course from tee to green. Offering a 7,078-yard par 71 Jay Morrish/Tom Weiskopf design, Buffalo Creek offers a good combination of holes: straight holes, dogleggers, uphill and downhill shots, and both long and short holes.
One of the best features is the club’s method of using a pin location sheet to mark exactly where each pin is located on a particular day (up to six locations), which is unbelievably helpful to hacks who’ve never played the course before and have no feel for the look and contour of the greens.
Getting there : Take I-30 east from Dallas and exit Ridge Rd. Turn right and find the course 1.6 miles down on the left.

Green Greens
The second course I have played that is under $80 and the greens were green and well maintained.
Challenging course
The course was in very good condition. A few of the greens weren’t in the best condition but over all very nice! The course layout was challenging with a few blind spot ponds and bunkers. Made for a fun round! Will definitely be back again!
Great track for a weekday round!
Extremely friendly staff and starter made for an excellent start to my round. Pace of play was great and course conditions were very nice save for a few sandy greens. Very scenic layout that’s challenging but fair. Highly recommended!
Excellent experience
From the moment I checked in to register to the end of my 18 holes it was a great experience 😁
Buffalo Creek pretty great
Solid course. In great shape considering Texas summers. A few greens struggling but overall worth the money and great people working there.
Recommend
Phenomenal experience from start to finish. The pro shop staff were very friendly and helpful. The course was incredible, great lay out, challenging and fun. The food was also very good. I would recommend this course to anyone.
A bit expensive but in a great condition in July!
The course is in a great shape and I liked the layout. It was worth the $99 (Sunday rate) and a longer drive for me to get there. Will play there again for sure!
Improvements Continue
Really enjoyed this one. Course and greens were in great shape, the course was fast and firm and the staff was great. They had complimentary range balls and bottled water since the last time I was here. Pace of play was 4 hrs. 15 mins. which is ok. One thing they should consider is a course set of tees with a mix of tips and blue to get somewhere in the 6700-6800 range. The blues are a bit short at 6500 and the tips are a bit long at nearly 7100! Will be back!
Best shape!
I’ve played Buffalo Creek several times over the years and I must say the courses never look better couple more weeks. It’ll be an excellent round of golfer anyone and any level..
Great Day on a Great Course.
Just a few days after several bad storms in the North Texas region, and the grounds crew had done a fantastic job in cleaning up and having the course in great shape. There were a couple bunkers that were unplayable if you ended up in them, but with the way those storms were, this place was in incredibly great condition. The staff was top notch and very friendly.
Still one of the best courses around
There was a still a lot of storm damage, but it didn't interfere with play. They had just sanded the greens recently, so they ran a bit slower.
Overall great condition.
Good value
I’ve played this course several times and keep coming back. Storm has hit some trees and greens are a little sandy but the course is well taken care of. Good value for the money. Including range balls and reasonable price, friendly staff, along with pace of play keep me coming back.
Good course - starter Staff need reality check
Course was fine, greens recently sanded but good conditions. Starter absolutely lost his mind on hole 9 by telling us we were 5 minutes behind pace. If the cart girl wasn’t so slow on the groups ahead of us we wouldn’t have been 5 minutes behind. Hard to hit when there’s a conference going on in the middle of the fairway in front of us. Anyways, shrugged off the starter and went low on the back.
