Buffalo Creek Golf Club
About
Highly touted Buffalo Creek has been praised for its layout, condition, and overall attention to detail. No matter who you talk to in the DFW area, they all seem to praise the superb condition of the course from tee to green. Offering a 7,078-yard par 71 Jay Morrish/Tom Weiskopf design, Buffalo Creek offers a good combination of holes: straight holes, dogleggers, uphill and downhill shots, and both long and short holes.
One of the best features is the club’s method of using a pin location sheet to mark exactly where each pin is located on a particular day (up to six locations), which is unbelievably helpful to hacks who’ve never played the course before and have no feel for the look and contour of the greens.
Getting there : Take I-30 east from Dallas and exit Ridge Rd. Turn right and find the course 1.6 miles down on the left.

Awesome track!!! Been super wet and fairways were a little soggy but that to be expected. Greens were great tho!!! Hard and fast the way we like em!!! Wish I had more time to go back
Cart Girl Carey was terrific and John the starter was helpful and the check-in was easy. Course was in rough shape and the construction around Holes 16-18 was crazy. Had really hoped the course would have been winter seeded.
Buffalo Creek Golf Club
Beautiful day of golfing. It's winter in Texas so the fairways are dormant. Staff is friendly and if it's your first time they'll give you a course book which was a ball savor for me. There is no GPS display in the cart so the course book and a range finder are your friend. The last par 5 on the back nine was under construction so instead of it being a monster par 5 it was a short par 4, but that's temporary. Fun course, great value.
Under construction
This course was designed by Jay Morris and Tom wyskoff so I was anxious to play it. I'm from Missouri and have built a golf course and hired Tom weiskoff to design it for me. The course is called Old Kinderhook and located in lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. When we got to Buffalo Creek, we were informed, by a very friendly staff. I might add, that the driving range was closed and that parts of the golf course was dug up as they were putting in a large sewer line through the course and the driving range. It really only affected one of the holes but since it went through the driving range, that was closed. The practice putting green was not indicative of the rest of the greens on the course. It mostly slanted and there were basically no areas where you could practice a flat putt. Once that all gets corrected and the driving range gets back open and they're finished with the sewer line going through parts of the golf course layout, I would definitely go back. The price was very reasonable and the girl behind the counter was very nice as was the girl out on the drink cart by the name of Casey. Casey. She made great bloody Marys for an early tee time.
Greens have come back!
Course was in great shape only 4r 5 greens had bad spots that were small and less than 5% of the green was affected great to see the course recovering from the problems of summer.
Just bad timing
A beautiful course overall. They are doing some construction work on the driving range area and it bleeds over into some of the wholes on the back 9.
Great greens
The greens were well taken care of overall..only a few had repair/sand issues. Course was in very good shape. Best bunkers I have played in DFW. Small issues with limited yardage markers and No water on course?
Love this course
Always a good time. Pace of play was a little frustrating but it was a Friday afternoon and the weather was nice so understandably the course was packed.
