Great course for the majority of golfers
Played at Concord Park GC today for the 2nd time in a month.
I played last month, when it was still a little wet and most courses were still suffering from the torrential winter we've had. It was a little overgrown in places, which was to be expected (and the price was discounted as a result) but it was a really interesting course...enough for me to try it again.
Walked up on the day, no booking. Straight onto the 1st tee and instantly the course looked in much better knick.
It isn't all that long, with only two par 5's and seven par 3's...and all Par 4's genuinely reachable in two for pretty much all abilities of golfer. With that, it's instantly more enjoyable...every hole, even as a mid-high handicapper like myself (15), is a potential birdie /par chance.
The Head Pro was out cutting the fairways (not sure whether he doubles up as greenkeeper also), the tee markers are little bits of plastic tubing and some of the flagsticks (also just plastic tubes) didn't have flags on them...so it's a little rough around the edges...
BUT, if you want a course to that allows you to get round quickly (I was round in 2 hours 45 minutes today), doesn't take itself too serious, encourages all abilities and gives you half a chance to shoot a decent score...get yourself down and enjoy a cheap(ish) round that'll give you some very interesting holes.
Very hilly though...your calves won't be thanking you as you walk up the 18th fairway!

Amazing
Such a great course especially for the time of the year. Only negative is multiple times when teeing off on the back 9 some lads were racing quad and dirt bikes up from the woods on to the fairway but nothing major. All in all a great course, definitely up there with the best in the area.
Pace of play is great as the calibre is of a good standard.
First time here
Nice course layout , but confusing at times due to no tee directions but we managed ok. For the time of year it’s much drier than other courses we’ve played . Greens could be better for sure but for the price it’s a decent little course. Quite hilly though so you need to be fairly fit. Staff and the members we met were all friendly and helpful. Worth a go if you don’t mind cheap and cheerful golf
