Great course
Winter Golf at Wortley Golf Club
The weather was cold and we played on a lot of temp greens but the course is still very good, you have to work a bit harder due to the reduced carry, the shorter temps does counter act this, we both enjoyed the round. But expensive with the temps. Overall the course is in great condition and they are building a new tee area on the third which once completed with be a good addition.

Played Wortley golf club on Monday, course was in good condition for this time of year, loved it thank you.

Great course in great condition
I played Wortley on 23/10/23 and have played it a few times in the past.
We played in a four ball two days after a major storm has hit the area so I was half expecting fairway mats and plenty of temporary greens but the course was in fantastic condition with only one temp, and the Greens were in superb condition, and rolled true and were perfectly paced.
Wortley is a course with a excellent mix of holes although only one par 5. Some very interesting holes. It is a fair course for both the experienced player and the relative novice.

Bargain price, hard walking course
It’s about three years since I last played this course and it is somewhat of a hidden gem just outside Sheffield. It’s quite an up and down course and can be a hard walk for most, but the challenge of the course makes it worth it. Long par fours, only one par five and that’s reachable in two but all the par threes are challenging. Course was in very good condition and greens were lovely, only thing I would pick out is that some of the surrounds looked tired and well used, but that’s being very picky. We paid £22 which was an absolute bargain for a course of this quality and we were virtually playing alone with no one in front or behind. They are installing winter tees and greens but I would suggest you should get there now and enjoy it before the weather starts making it less playable.
Cracking course in great condition for the time of the year
Play here occasionally through the year.
Challenging layout especially the long par fours on the 14 and 15th holes.
