Tankersley Park Golf Club

The course was in excellent condition, so credit to the greens team. It really is a great course, not overly long, but there are a great variety of holes. The greens and greens contours are excellent - not just flat circles. It really is worth a visit, if only once. It is close to the motorway, but you barely notice or can see it, plus you will be more interested in the course and your golf. Would certainly recommend it. Green fees are more reasonable (and sensible) than other courses close by.

Greens and tee boxes immaculate so hats off to green keeping staff. Not a single missed pitch mark repair in any green.

Fairways, rough and semi rough were not good. Not much grass at all, just damp, firm earth. Given the very long dry spell there isnt much grass at all but other courses have grass, albeit very brown and dry, there is still grass.

Pace of play ok. 3 ball took 4 hours 15 minutes on a bank holiday teeing off at 12 midday. We were waiting quite a bit so to complete in that time no too bad.

Course layout is quite odd in places. 4th and 7th fairways cross over which is where most of the delays start maybe. However, it is a good test regardless, with various heaps to sometimes navigate around. Apparently I think those heaps are old mining spoils, quite unique, you're doing well, or not if you end up on top of one of them :-)

I think the green fees paid for what we got were a bit high. We paid £35, think it was probably worth £25 and I'd be less disappointed. Not sure I'd go back at £35 per round.

Cracking day at Tankersley. We played at lunch time on a Tuesday and we had a clear run at the course. Greens were fantastic not a mark on them. Fairways were fast due to the dry weather but the course just played lovely. Some really interesting holes and no two holes re the same. Very worth a visit

Great course in good jick, greens superb, always a good test but having 48 corporate guys and a bunch of very slow members in front doesn’t make for the most enjoyable round.

Arrived wasn't told we had been paired with two other players, the two other players where very slow leaving clubs ob the tee box and had to run back to collect was so bad in the end we walked of on the 13th after 3hrs.

Absolutely gutted as this is one of my favourite courses to play

Excellent value for money

£20 on a Saturday afternoon was great

Not many on but pace of play was slow especially on the back 9

Nice course in good condition for time of year, quite a few temps on but enjoyed the course definitely play again 👍

Course was in ok condition with some recent drainage work, the rough or tree areas could have been a little tidier and some signage wasn’t that clear. No fault of the course but we had to wait twice for children running around in bunkers and playing as part of the course seemed to be close to a walking route

We played the course today and considering the recent weather the course was in great condition. Fairways are a bit brown but that can’t be avoided. The green complexes were fantastic! As soon as we pulled into the car park we had a 5 minute chat with a member who was very friendly and welcoming. The pro shop staff were also very welcoming.

We will definitely be back 👍

Good course layout, greens like lightning! Tee boxes and greens in great condition considering the weather over the summer.

Staff and members made us feel welcome and helped with the course layout / advice during the round!
