Leek Golf Club

Booked the Hot Deal through Golf Now which made the deal a real bargain. Arrived 10 minutes before our tee time and went into the pro shop the booking was already confirmed by the shop assistant. We teed off bang on time and the use of Fairway mats is compulsory which is no great hardship it’s protecting the course and you get a great lie for every shot !! The pace of play was excellent and we were never held up on 1 shot over the 18 holes and 3 hours 10 minutes is all it took to play the course. All in all the conditions were very good the greens a bit Woolley but considering its march they were very true and smooth only downside is that all the bunkers are GUR as they are being upgraded but again no hardship it’s winter golf. All in all we’d certainly recommend a visit to leek golf club the course is great and staff and members in the clubhouse were very friendly and chatty and asked if we enjoyed the course etc 5 star experience

Course is in great condition for this time of year, greens are well looked after and consistent. Very friendly staff, plus I was lucky to get a glorious day weatherwise. Will return in the near future

I drove there yesterday too lately. cos i missed to read my gps too lately. A professional helped to play there ok.

First time playing Leek and I was impressed. Yes it was cold and wet but the course was in great condition, the greens were like carpets! The few fairways that I managed to find were cut and also in good order. I saw grounds staff multiple times making sure the course was well kept. I enjoyed my round and would definitely play the course again.

I’m not quite sure how they’ve managed to lay this course out so well. Lots of raised tees and great views down each hole. It’s compact so each hole is close to each other, but it never feels intrusive. It was in fantastic condition when I played it. The surrounding area is beautiful and the club pro was really helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed my round here.

I am 65 now and have wanted to play Leek golf course for many years. One of the best amateur golfers I have known used to be a member. The course is really established having been founded in 1892. It is in great condition and the fairways have a links feel to them with quality greens. I was not disappointed and will play it again.

I played late afternoon when it was the club championship so the course was busy but I was round in 3 hours 30 mins playing as a one ball.

First time playing Leek, it was a very cold but bright, sunny day. Late January and we'd had a very wet winter, but because fairway mats are mandatory the course was in first class condition for the time of year. The greens, though a bit spongy at times, were also in very good condition. Well laid out course, plenty of hazards but not unfair. Some wonderful views and lots of nature both surrounding and on the course. Unable to stay for anything to eat but went into the restaurant area and it exuded an atmosphere of warmth and friendliness. Professional shop well equipped and the pro was very customer focussed and welcoming.

I will most definitely return in the spring.

After 5 days of heavy rain the course was in very good condition. The greens was very good and quite quick. Fairways was all cut and the rough was at a good height. All in all for the time of the year the course was great
