Good value
To be honest, the course is a bit boring. Very flat and straight. But for the price it was good way to kill a few hours.
Great course
This the second time played as visitors, This is a great course, would recommend this course, fairways are in really good condition, the greens are excellent, the green keepers are doing an excellent job in keeping this course in a great condition
Great course
Although only a 9 hole course there is the option to play 18 and for ladies in particular there are different tee-offs.
The fairways are in very good condition given the lack of rain and the putting greens are in great condition.
My only criticism is that because of COVID19 the Pro Shop was closed when I arrived for a 7.32 am tee-off but thankfully on a previous occasion one of the green keepers showed me where scorecards are located.
Very average
The back 9 is the same holes as the front 9 but with a slightly different tee. The speed of play was pretty slow with some of the tee offs and greens not in great shape, most fairways were in good condition though. Not a bad course but won’t go again anytime soon.
Price was not the same as booked
When booking on line with Golf now the price per player was £18 per player and advised to pay at the course. When arriving we were told the green fee was £25 per player ?? Misleading when booking and when asking the staff member behind the bar I was met with the answer I don’t know what that is. Apart from that quite good value and course condition was good for the price
Laid Back
Relaxed course, greens are well maintained and challenging.
Previous reviews describing Datchet as a 9-holer played twice are a little unfair. The course does repeat holes with different tees but there are only a handful like this.
tight course
9 holes played twice squeezed into a small space by pushing the tee boxes back down the previous fairways. So a long walk from green to tee each time. Some of the tee boxes were in impossible positions, like the 3rd, where you could only hit trees. And there was a lot of trees. It's a mature course that would suit an older person who hits straight and short. No value for giving the big dog a chance to bark. Greens quite small and even after recent rain they were too hard and hard to stop on. But sharing every fairway with someone else just isn't for me. Not for £20 quid each
Hidden Gem
An excellent 9 hole course hidden away near Windsor.
This course is no pitch and putt with many par 4's 400+ yards. In very good condition especially the fast greens.
Highly recommended!
Worth the money
Well maintained course, noisy with planes overhead, good fun, definitely worth playing just make sure you t off the correct t as it’s a nine hole played twice with slightly different t locations
Poor course
You play 9 holes twice. Pace of play is slow. Greens and fairways are not kept. Holes intersect each other while slows down play. The general public take walks across the course which you need to be mindful of.
