About
Silverhorn Golf Club of Texas, located only 15 minutes from San Antonio's Riverwalk, has quickly gained a reputation as being some of the best golf in Texas. The layout covers 262 scenic acres of rolling hills covered in mature oaks and cedar trees. The challenging golf course features tree-lined fairways and carefully contoured greens. There are also lakes and creeks, both dry and wet, coming into play throughout the golf course. The front nine's signature hole is the par-5 sixth, which has 20 acres of water bordering the entire left side, while the back nine's signature is the par-4 15th, which is considered the toughest hole on the golf course. This 446-yard hole features an elevated green that is guarded by a large bunker on the left and two creeks crossing the fairway.

Good local course
Very challenging course. No water to speak of, but narrow fairways and little streams make you work your game.
Great staff. Bar/food fast and good.

Great staff! Not worth the price
Not worth $80 for a 1:30 tee time. Or by any time for that matter.

Overpriced
Good layout, solid fairways and greens, but anything off the fairway is all rocks and impossible to play out of. Not worth $80 a round.

Poorly kept course for the money
Course was tattered with trash in the roughs with every hole. Poorly groomed rough and fairways. No bathrooms on course other than a plastic port-o-potty. No marshal causing slow play and disorder. Not worth $80. When asked about discounts the staff responded with “no discount with all the “restrictions”...however course was completely booked. Worst course in San Antonio and one the more expensive. I wouldn’t recommend this course to any serious golfer.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us, however, we're very sorry to hear your recent experience with us did not meet expectations. After looking into the day of play, our records show that the pace of play was on track with our posted pace of play policy (4hr 30min). Our porta-potties on the course are changed out daily and we can assure you that our staff works hard to maintain course conditions & upkeep, but your feedback is appreciated for further improvements. As for the lack of rate discounts, we do appreciate your patience & understanding as our team navigates demand & COVID-19 restrictions during these times. If you would like to discuss anything further, please reach out to Bryan Ledesma, General Manager, at the course directly so we can better address these concerns.
Looks to me like a guest that wasn't happy with us not offering special rates due to his comment of asking for discounts. As he also stated course was slammed with buisness.

Very crowded but pace of play was excellent. Fair but challenging layout in a beautiful setting with deer everywhere.

Great time like always.
Never fails silverhorn treats me well. Course is tough but appreciated to all kinds of golfers. Staff was amazing and very helpful. Gentlemen working the check in desk in pro shop was very helpful as I inquired about membership. Truly made me feel like he wanted and would be grateful to have my membership. Never snobby or disapproving as a young Hispanic golfer I get all the time. Great job guys keep up the great work.
