About
Silverhorn Golf Club of Texas, located only 15 minutes from San Antonio's Riverwalk, has quickly gained a reputation as being some of the best golf in Texas. The layout covers 262 scenic acres of rolling hills covered in mature oaks and cedar trees. The challenging golf course features tree-lined fairways and carefully contoured greens. There are also lakes and creeks, both dry and wet, coming into play throughout the golf course. The front nine's signature hole is the par-5 sixth, which has 20 acres of water bordering the entire left side, while the back nine's signature is the par-4 15th, which is considered the toughest hole on the golf course. This 446-yard hole features an elevated green that is guarded by a large bunker on the left and two creeks crossing the fairway.

No Complaints
This is a very nice public course. Everything was in good shape. You must stay in the fairway to keep score down as much as you can. Lots of challenges. Tuff but fair.

Very very poor pacing
We need a marshal to push the pacing.A lot of golfers drink and do more chatting than playing.These people should stay in the bar not in the golf course.

A must play in San Antonio
Great value course. Tight layout, where you have to hit golf shots and think your way around. Greens have some issues, but roll quite well. Would like to see a little faster but the weather is brutal in summer so understand they need to keep some growth in them.

Slow play
Too many people that aren’t ready for a big. Boy golf course come play here, not good if ur behind then. Happens way too often since there’s no martial!!

Course is garbage but acceptable for the cost
Course is in terrible shape. Greens super inconsistent. Course has gone to shix after new management took it over and they nickel and dime you to death; fees, cart, range balls, no coolers, charge for ice... wow. Won’t be back anymore even for $33 Tuesday specials

Course condition
Course was in great condition. Greens were a little slow for me but still in great condition.

Perfect conditions
Silverhorn was in great condition. No work with drainage or soggy conditions. Greens were great and rolled good. We played at 2pm with little groups out. Our foursome played in 4 hrs.
This course is the one we play when in SA.

Wonderful golf course
I love playing golf at Silverhorn golf course, I play there whenever I visit San Antonio.. The course is always in excellent condition. You will not be disappointed if you book a round of golf there.

Nice course, but bad pace of play
Silverhorn is a great golf course and well maintained. Challenging and fun, but the pace of play is miserably slow. If you’re okay with a playing a 5 hour round or longer than this is a great course. If you want to play in 4 hours, I don’t recommend.

Great course!
Shocking how well they keep this course with as much traffic as they get. Tends to play a little slow with the tight fairways. Best course for the money in SA! Thanks Silverhorn!

Greens were in fine shape....not to fast nor slow just right. Fairways were nice too. Great play for the price
