Silverhorn Golf Club of Texas, located only 15 minutes from San Antonio's Riverwalk, has quickly gained a reputation as being some of the best golf in Texas. The layout covers 262 scenic acres of rolling hills covered in mature oaks and cedar trees. The challenging golf course features tree-lined fairways and carefully contoured greens. There are also lakes and creeks, both dry and wet, coming into play throughout the golf course. The front nine's signature hole is the par-5 sixth, which has 20 acres of water bordering the entire left side, while the back nine's signature is the par-4 15th, which is considered the toughest hole on the golf course. This 446-yard hole features an elevated green that is guarded by a large bunker on the left and two creeks crossing the fairway.

Always in Great shape and a Challenge to play...Need Marshall's at times to round course because the group in front of us were hitting 2 to 3 balls off the tee box and 2 in the fairway and wouldn't let anyone thru..longest front nine ever

Great course with great club staff

Been playing about once a week here now versus my last few years bouncing around. The course is in great shape and play is faster than normal. My most favorite part however is the staff! Thanks to Bryan, Ryan, Nick, Russ in the pro shop and Amanda, Casey, Tiffany, Erin, Jo, Jackie, Aron, John, Cassidy, and Grace from the bar/kitchen! Thank you all!

Hidden Gem

Silverhorn is one of those courses that you’ll need to play a few times to fully appreciate. The greens are in great shape. Mostly, the players understand pace of play and etiquette. Yesterday’s round had a foursome that didn’t get it, but nothing against the course. Go Play it.

Beautiful Hill Country Feel in the Middle of Town

My first time to play this course in San Antonio and the website pictures did not lie! Was a great experience from check-in to 19th hole. The staff is absolutely top notch along with the course layout. This is a course not to be taken lightly! Must hit fairways and greens were rolling perfect! Very few bailout areas for an errant shot which makes you play good golf! Hands down a great experience and will be back next time I visit San Antonio!

Best deal going in town

I found this course to be so much more enjoyable than the ACGT courses in town which I'm a member with from the start you get courtesy l mean this place makes you feel like your a member of a upscale club and on the course pace of play is very well managed then before you finish your round your invited to have a free draft beer while you settle up scores the employees in charge of the course and inside are the best thank you silverhorn

Fun layout...dry onditions

Very nice course layout with each hole having its own character. Pace of play a little slow due to a Golf Channel AM Tour event but starter kept things moving pretty well. Greens very well maintained and rolled well. Would definitely play here again....well worth the money!
