About
Silverhorn Golf Club of Texas, located only 15 minutes from San Antonio's Riverwalk, has quickly gained a reputation as being some of the best golf in Texas. The layout covers 262 scenic acres of rolling hills covered in mature oaks and cedar trees. The challenging golf course features tree-lined fairways and carefully contoured greens. There are also lakes and creeks, both dry and wet, coming into play throughout the golf course. The front nine's signature hole is the par-5 sixth, which has 20 acres of water bordering the entire left side, while the back nine's signature is the par-4 15th, which is considered the toughest hole on the golf course. This 446-yard hole features an elevated green that is guarded by a large bunker on the left and two creeks crossing the fairway.

Great value
FRI AM round pretty wide open (pace of play was great), course was in awesome shape. Some tight fairways, blind shots, and aaaaall the trees make it a challenging track. We’ll be back!

My First
I was really impressed with the overall layout of the course. The range was really close to the first tee. Also, the starter was precise and on time. It was a jampacked Saturday, but the pace moved fairly swiftly as the Marshall was out and about helping out the golfers. The beverage cart lady was exceptional coming around approximately five times throughout the round. I highly recommend this course as it had Very good challenges with some type fairways and some small greens.
Immaculate Greens.
Best greens i have played on in the area this year. Excellent condition. Greens rolled true and hitting into them was even better. Only non perfect item, were the carts. Need to be updated and have some corse books for the blind shots.

Great layout, staff, and value. Can’t go wrong at this course. Very challenging course. Pace of play was outstanding. Would recommend this course.
Great Course but expect to be there a while.
Booked a tee-time with my buddy on Golfnow, however, something happened and the reservation was never secured. I called the pro shop at silverhorn and explained my situation. I knew I was going to have to pay 25.00 more, but to my surprise he adjusted the price and got me on with my friends.
I love this course but the pace of play is absolutely horrible. Every tee box we were waiting about 12 minutes before teeing off and typically waited a few minutes on the fairway to hit our 2nd and 3rd shots. The Manager was driving around and doing the best he could, but it seemed like it was just over booked. The staff is great, food is delicious, so that why I give it 4 stars and that is generous because it takes me about 5+ hours to play. We got on around mid day, and didn't get off until dinner time.
The burger slightly made up for it though. I recommend going on a weekday.
Great Shape
The course is in great shape and the greens and fairways are some of the best in San Antonio. If you want a challenge and you want to play an excellently prepared course play now. Plus if you play on Tuesday mornings, when the range is closed, there is a very good discount. So have fun, it's golf.

Overall the course was in good shape. My suggestion would be to add reflectors to the flagstaffs so range finders would work with more accuracy.
1st Round
I liked the layout of the course and the greens were nice, a little slow but rolling nice.
Course knowledge is a premium here.
Golfing in a deer park
It was a great round of golf. The course was in really good condition and the greens were fabulous. There were deer everywhere you looked and the weather was perfect, as was the price. I have always liked playing at Silverhorn and look forward to doing it again soon.

Always in Great shape and a Challenge to play...Need Marshall's at times to round course because the group in front of us were hitting 2 to 3 balls off the tee box and 2 in the fairway and wouldn't let anyone thru..longest front nine ever
