Canyon Springs Golf Club is a true Hill Country course. You need to stay on the fairways or bring plenty of balls. Using an old farm to build on this choice piece of Texas real estate, this land has been artfully transformed into what many golfers will refer to as among the very best of what Texas has to offer. With five sets of tee boxes on each hole, demanding greens, natural Hill Country surroundings and magnificent limestone waterfalls on two holes, this 7,000-plus-yard course presents a significant challenge to event the most experienced golfers (and even those who think they are).

Beautiful Setting for a Well Maintained Course
I took a couple of Army buddies from out of state to this course. It was a perfect complement to the Texas orientation. The waterfall and the Longhorns were great places for a memory photo. The greens were well maintained and fast enough to be be very challenging. Despite the local drought, the fairways were in moderate condition. Only a couple of times did I move my ball to better grass on the fairway.
Best course for the price
Great course with great layout. The only complaint is the speed varies between greens. None are above a 9 on stem Peter but varies between 7 to 9. Greens have not been infiltrated with poa annua as others have.

1st time playing this course. I really enjoyed the layout ! The pace today was nice. Greens were smooth and in great shape. The fairways were decent and tee shots rolled out nicely. Par 5s are reachable in 2 with a good drive . A real gem!

Vacation
First time played course was in good shape for winter conditions. Pace was good a little more than 4 hours for 18 . Greens challenging, nice to see irrigation being used. Will play again before heading home.

In great shape
Canyon Springs is playing nice currently. They seemed to have bounced back from bad weather quite nicely. Fun as always and the staff are great.
10/10 recommend
This course is amazing! Really great scenery and well maintained. Staff is very nice. Told the guy at the pro shop it was my first time playing and he walked outside talked to me about the course and pointed me in the right direction! I would 10/10 recommend playing here! A little pricey but it’s not a course you will look back and say I regret playing there.
Pacing
Pacing is always a problem in here,reason is slow players ignore players behind them.
Great course, but need serious marshaling.
Several times during the round there were 4 groups on a par 4. I’m not sure where the slow play ahead of us was, but I never saw a marshal during the round.
Tee time was 2:10. Went off early and only could get 15 holes completed before 6. Shouldn’t happen when everyone has carts and 90 degree rule.
Not what I expected
My first time playing and not my favorite. The forecast didn’t hold up. It was cold & wet! I was pared with 2 other players that were really late, so I played alone behind a 3some that threw off the pace. Course conditions were not the best but will try again in better weather.
