Canyon Springs Golf Club is a true Hill Country course. You need to stay on the fairways or bring plenty of balls. Using an old farm to build on this choice piece of Texas real estate, this land has been artfully transformed into what many golfers will refer to as among the very best of what Texas has to offer. With five sets of tee boxes on each hole, demanding greens, natural Hill Country surroundings and magnificent limestone waterfalls on two holes, this 7,000-plus-yard course presents a significant challenge to event the most experienced golfers (and even those who think they are).

Fun course
Came into San Antonio for a conference. The staff was great at the front desk. Got the rental clubs, TaylorMade Sims. The staff got us up to speed on the course. The course had a fun layout. Generous fairways. FAST greens. Both the tee box and fairways were in great shape. Greens rolled true. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
Awesome greens
I have played here several times and yesterday the course was in great shape and the greens were fast, just like I like them. Pace of play was great. We teed off at 12:20
Sunday noon tee time
Course in overall great condition but some wet, muddy spots in front of a couple of greens. Friendly staff and cart girls. Always a good test and good time.
You’ve got to play this place
Love this course. Great staff. Love the layout, challenging and beautiful hill country views. Play it once and you’ll be thinking of the next time you can come play Canyon Springs!
Over hyped and over priced
San Antonio basically middle of a drought but course had a lot of standing water near greens and fairway from over watering . Mud balls on good shots. Very slow play. Many better options in the area for half the price. Will say course has a nice appearance and good layout for the most part.
Fun track
Really enjoyed my time as a single, I was paired up with another twosome thanks to starter and staff, pace of play was great and overall shape of the course was well done. They had recently sanded the greens but the ball was rolling true if not a little slower.
Great shape considering the drought
Best conditions of any San Antonio course I’ve played in the extreme drought conditions. For weekday twilight we never had to wait to tee off. Pace was great
Great golf course
The greens were in great shape and the pace play was steady. A good course for the price.
