About
Canyon Springs Golf Club is a true Hill Country course. You need to stay on the fairways or bring plenty of balls. Using an old farm to build on this choice piece of Texas real estate, this land has been artfully transformed into what many golfers will refer to as among the very best of what Texas has to offer. With five sets of tee boxes on each hole, demanding greens, natural Hill Country surroundings and magnificent limestone waterfalls on two holes, this 7,000-plus-yard course presents a significant challenge to event the most experienced golfers (and even those who think they are).

Course was in great shape. Some parts of the course were a bit mush from all the recent rain we have had in the area but it was to be expected. Greens had been recently punched and sanded but didn’t affect play as much. Beautiful course and great lay out

Aeration Alert
Course in great shape except the greens were recently aerated and unpredictable. They gave no notice prior to the round.

Greens punched with no warning
A simple courtesy heads up on the greens being pinched would have been nice. We could have been told at the front desk and also the started had plenty chances to tell us about the conditions of the greens that were punched on the morning we arrived.
Rough was US Open height. Not fun for an average golfer that does not have 1,000 spotters throughout the course locating every ball.

Love the course - but they wanted to charge $40 for my wife to ride with me
I love this course, it's beautiful, challenging and in awesome shape. I drove down from Dripping Springs because I got a great Hot Deal - but otherwise this course is too expensive (as many courses have become since COVID). I can afford it but not willing to pay $125 for a round.
My wife has ridden with me @ this course in the past at no charge but apparently someone decided to not only jack up the greens fee rates (as a Vet I can play the TPC Course for $125) but also now want to charge $40 freaking $$$ for a non-player to ride along.
That's absurd! So she went shopping instead - thanks for the "fun afternoon with my wife" Canyon Springs (NOT!!).

Great course play it
Great course, play it if you get a chance. Golf carts with gps and most other importantly green charts!!

Canyon Springs never disappoints
From a great weekday rate to a nice layout we enjoyed our day at Canyon Springs. The staff was very friendly and it has an above average practice facility. Will definitely visit again the next time we are in San Antonio.
