Narrow tree-lined fairways and a creek which you often encounter make Lackland AFB's Gateway Hills Golf Course a fun round. The ninth hole, playing up a steep hill is a real experience as is the elevated green on 18. If you have a friend who is in the military and can get on, Gateway Hills Golf Course a worthwhile option with well manicured greens.

Gateway Hills Golf Course is laid out on 200 acres featuring extreme elevation changes overlooking San Antonio. The golf course meanders 6,900 yards from the back tees with many strategically located bunkers and a host of oak and mesquite trees. Gateway Hills GC provides a practice area that includes a driving range, putting green, bunker and a lob wedge practice grees

Overall course in great condition, couple of holes have water standing due to previous heavy rain - drainage was and is a problem on some holes.

Miss playing this course.

I haven't played this course in sometime. I enjoyed my time there and will be returning often. The greens and fairways are in great condition, better than I remembered from past years. Keep up the good work.

Nice course

Got to the clubhouse early for my tee time (getting visitor pass was quick). The man at the desk said it was OK to go Early. Hardly anyone on the course.. Fairways and greens were in great shape. I will. be back.

Still have water leaks. Many dead trees and many trees need trimming. Fairways and greens in great shape!

John in clubhouse is rude.

People in clubhouse have always been welcoming. However theres a guy name John who doesn’t like golf now people. He is rude and should not give customers a hard time for no reason

Good course, great value

Interesting layout. Decent challenge. Greens are in great shape, fairways are above average. Great round for the price. You do need access to the air base. So call ahead before you go. I’m a veteran so it’s no problem for me.

Little has changed in 35 yrs

Golf Now price was $12.99. I was a single and payed in 2 hrs. Use to play here back in the early 1990s. Layout has remained the same, greens and fairways could use a little speed.
