Far Grange Park & Golf Club - Main Course

I love playing far grange, especially the cliff top holes on the back 9. Only down side is the par 3… I think it’s the 12th, the greens barely even a green and is super bumpy & dry. All over greens are really good, I think they could shorten this par 3 a tad and replace it with a much nicer green!

I think anyone would be hard pushed to find a better value for money course in Yorkshire. £12 pounds for 18 holes on a very well maintained, challenging (wind) links style course just can't be found anywhere else.

Staff, clubhouse and facilities all very good. Without doubt there are better courses but not at this price

All good with course great green just one thing wrong is the tee time between each tee off isnt long enough should be 20 minutes its more like 5 minutes but all good overall

All round it’s a good testing course, the only downside is the greens are not very receptive too hard. Other than that excellent value

Play this course a couple of times a year and always enjoy playing there.

I had a really good experience 1st time playing far grange everything was virtual perfect wasn’t to busy shop had everything u need the only gripe I have is the next tee zone is very near the previous green so became a bit dangerous I was always waiting for the group infront to tee off not just clear the green and on the 18th the club house is directly behind the green felt very close so chose to lay up!! On a positive the island green is fantastic experience really enjoyed it will definitely be returning 9/10

So close to home, easy access interesting variety of fairways. Well kept and friendly helpful staff.

Par 5 that runs along the cliff edge is a little tricky when the wind is up. Great mix of hazards including a virtually water-surrounded green. Quite a bit of goose mess about and a few daisies on the fairway but overall the greens are true and the course is interesting. Great staff and members throughout. A little slow with fourballs and holiday makers but gives you time to take in the great views.

Was a real surprise. Course was in good shape and a challenge for all standards of golfers. Fairways and greens well looked after and quick with limited rainfall. Only downside was the bunkers lacked sand and were like concrete. Some well designed holes. Worth another visit.

Great welcome and amenities to start,with a good priced beverage.went out as planned. Greens where firm as was expected, bunkers in good condition as where tee off area.

Day changed slightly on the 13th when an errant drive by a co player(mike) followed by a loud fore shout was followed by the golfer hitting the ball into the sea(good strike tbf)and then getting rather aggressive and insinuating he was going to put my friend in a local infirmary. Luckily enough Another of our 4 ball (Les) managed to calm the situation down very well. We then finished and sat in a nice outside area with sun shining.

Played here yesterday. Not my first time. Find the reception in the pro shop a bit weird. Second time now the guy has been weird about me booking through a hot deal on golf now? “We don’t see a penny of it”… how is this a me problem? Paired with another golfer which is fine. Women friendly comp out in front of us. Absolute refusal to let a quick two ball play through. By hole 9/10 big bottleneck of two balls waiting behind a 4 ball of women who were driving it 40 yards. Quite ridiculous a 3 hour game taking 4 hour 30mins, the marshal should have been out ensuring pace of play was being managed. Golf course is great though and well worth a visit (just don’t book through golf now or you’ll get told off)

Course was in really good condition, fairway cut short and greens ran true, stunning views on the cliff edge, some short holes and some monsters holes, pace of play was perfect, really enjoyable round and very friendly staff

This a really nice golf course some really good holes but the slow play can be so annoying you will find people just appear on the course from the caravan site who have very little respect for the players behind them could really need some one from the clubhouse checking the course as for the club house bar expect to pay through the nose for a beer

For the money its good value.

Ive played on more expensive courses that were not this good.

Reasonable all round !

You will struggle to find better value for money and when you get along the coast the views are amazing

Fairways and greens are well maintained and a great challenge

I've played many courses and didn't expect much with this one for just £15. How wrong I was. This is a super course that could just be East Yorkshires best value for money courses. Ok, some of the greens were a bit basic and slow, but they were well kept and enjoyable to tackle.

There are some testing holes and some great views on the back 9.

Didn't use the club house but it looked to be popular with golfers.

If you fancy a change then give this course a go.
