Good facility
Enjoy playing here. Great range to warmup and the practice green (putting and chipping) good
Played blue and yellow - course are fun no the wind made it challenging although if not windy might be relatively easy as not long
Lots of side hill lies though makes it more challenging
As a 2-ball we had a 4 in front of us who seemed to find it a badge of honour to race of the tee and not call us through but eventually they did after 9 holes when we caught them on the tee and we did the back nine in under 90 mins
Amazing value for money
Great lay-out, good quality course, amazing value for money
Farleigh Golf Course
Three 9 hole courses that you can play. We played the red and yellow courses.
3 sets of 9 all in good condition if on fairway.
Considering the wetness courses in good nick if you kept ball on fairway. Dm and muddy off the beaten track. Greens running average but true.
Great value for money
Course was in great condition given its beginning of April. Course was fun to play, only played 2 of the 3 9s but will definitely be back. Staff were great.
Great value for money
Played on Red and Blue course. Red was muddy and good course but nothing spectacular. However, thoroughly enjoyed the scenes at Blue course. Less muddy as well.
Would definitely try to come back.
Nice course, good value
Nice round of golf. Played on my own and it was fairly quiet. Got around in 3 hours easily, although I switched to the red on the second nine, instead of yellow, as there were a couple of 4 balls ahead. Benefit of a 27 hole course!
Bit of work going on at the moment (e.g. Blue 3rd,, greens being undulated), which is not surprising giving the time of year.
Rough all cut down, which makes it easier to play..
Nice staff
Good condition for winter but too slow
Fairways and Tees very good.
Greens sanded.
Unfortunately very slow
Birthday
It helps a review when you play well on your birthday. We teed off at 10:40 (a two ball snuck on before us which was fine as we were 3 but a starter would have helped).
Conditions on arrival were bitterly cold (hard frost everywhere) and the first few green were a bit icy, but they thawed quickly in the sun and played amazingly well considering the time of year (Feb).
Food was great, helpful staff, and great value.
We only had the option to play off the seniors tee which was a drawback as it took some of the challenge out, but again consider it was a February round. I would rather play seniors tees than have a single temporary green.
Slowest 5 Hour Round for a 2 ball
The clubhouse is lovely as is all the staff especially the pro in the pro shop, he is excellent.
Unfortunately the course is average. The greens were in very good condition for this time of the year but the tee boxes were awful and the fairways were also pretty bad to the point we couldn’t work out if we were in the rough on some holes.
The worst thing though was that our tee time was put in behind a swindle. Our 2 ball took just over 5 hours! On the third hole of the green course (a nice short par 3) there was 4 groups waiting to tee off which is ridiculous. I would not normally put sole blame on the course but the fact they have three 9 hole courses means this shouldn’t happen. By the time we were walking to the 10th hole, the first few holes were completely clear. Better planning with the bookings and which 9’s to play would have helped.
Good value layout
Good value layout and worthwhile playing - some good drivable par fours as well !
Best Winter course
The course is in superb condition. Especially those bunkers.
Lovely course.
Perfect course and very challenging in the wind. Staff very friendly and so helpful
Great course
My first time playing here and was an absolute treat. The practice facilities were great, the course impeccable (particularly the greens) and it provided a good challenge with a beautiful backdrop. Staff all very friendly also.
Will definitely be back and recommending to friends
