Lovely course

Really enjoyed the course. Fairways and greens in good condition. Pace of play was excellent - no delays. Food and beer was pricey- £5.50 for a pint of Stella Artois and £13.50 for a burger.

Great value

Great deal as usual, business model is cheap deals keeping course busy downside is bit of a procession round , par 5 we were one group of 4 playing on same hole,, waiting on almost all holes. Temp tees all round but all greens open. Signage could be better in particular coming off 9th trying find 10th fortunately played last year so knew where this temp tee box was about 80 yards further back . Overall if played before you know what to expect. Staff were very friendly and good facilities for drink and meal after.

Lovely course but waterlogged

This course is a lovely course and the staff are very friendly. The only thing stopping me giving was a couple of holes being a bit boggy due to a week of rain previously. I will be back in the summer to sample it in the proper conditions.

A Little Soggy

Enjoyed playing course albeit after a few days or rain. About 5 challenging holes otherwise not that interesting.

Off course hotel bar was a kids playground. There is nothing worse that wrecking your eardrums through the uncontrolled screaming of a herd of someone else’s children.

Will play the course again later in the year.

Great vfm

Although the course was very wet after the deluge of the previous few days it stood up pretty well. Greens were wet which meant you could throw the ball right up to to the hole but still putted true if a little slow. Overall a great day had.

Well worth a visit

Generous fairways are generally open and inviting for good shot making, but with a range of hazards to make strategy important. Good greens for time of year. Played the course on a damp day, which did not affect course too badly.

Will not bother returning

2 hour's 45 minutes to play 9 holes, got to the 10th there were a group on the green a fourball in the fairway + a group waiting to tee off pretty much as it was on every par 4 up to this point. Found out there were 2 societies out & members, enough was enough we retired and didn’t bother with further torture of more slow play. Disappointed that the course was over subscribed so this will be entered onto the will not return list in fact it’s the first one on there.

October 2021

Being quite local I’ve played this course many times, tee times are squeezed in every 7 mins and the first hole is a blind shot par 4 with a bell, it’s just not feasible for tee times to stay on time, quite often there will be 24 people on the 1st tee, ridiculous booking system

Over subscribed

The staff were friendly and informative - really efficient!

The course was nice but a little criss-crossed.

The course was oversubscribed - the result was slow play, queuing and some irritation amongst players. The gap was,I think, 6 minutes - not really feasible for 4-balls!

Pity because the course looked good but we gave up after 9 holes - 2hrs 25mins was enough for us!

Nice course, good value

A nice course with plenty of variety. The greens were a bit slow, possibly recovering from maintenance, but overall a good afternoon of golf at a very reasonable cost

Little Gem

This is a little Gem of a course, only let down and a minor point is work being carried out on the 10th tee, winter mat in place making it a difficult tee shot being blocked off by trees

Played great considering the conditions

Wet day and week in general but whole course played very well, mix of challenging holes and some simpler ones. Club pro was very helpful and pointed out certain things to navigate the course well and quickly. Will definitely be back with such a good price of £16pp
