Bottle necking

7 minutes between each tee time. Once we (2ball) got to the 5th. There was a queue of 5x groups….one on the green, one on the fairway. One on the tee. One on the bench (us)And one waiting to come off the 4th

5hr 30 minute round. For us. A 2 ball. Ground was rock solid, tee boxes aren’t flat. The course could be so much better with some tlc and tee times spread further out. Shame. Wouldn’t book it again.

Going downhill

Yes there are positives - the course is challenging and has great views. However the course needs a lot of maintenance.

The tee boxes are rock hard for example and on a number of occasions we had to use both hands to try and get a tee into the ground. Also I don’t think one tee box is flat. Far from ideal.

The fairways had very little grass on them and were absolutely rock hard.

The rough (I know it’s meant to penalise) for a club course was ridiculously penal. As long as you would see at The Open meaning that any ball into it was lost even if not far offline

The facilities were closed at 8:50am. Doesn’t seem too early for a bit of breakfast or a cup of tea to me.

Overall pretty disappointing and I don’t think I’ll go back any time soon.

Excellent condition

Haven't played this course in a few years and was pleasantly surprised in the condition it was in , they've really tried to get the course looking good again, good greens manicured fairways, a few tees could have been better but I'm sure they'll be working on them as well , played after 4pm so was only £13 , bargain, deffo go again

Tired facilities

The clubhouse area and approach road are tired and scruffy and first impressions of the staff were not good. Ladies locker room was unused and dirty.

Course was in ok condition with some holes on the process of renovation (4th) and some damage to putting surfaces.

Needs some TLC but good layout

Friendly course

This is the 2nd time we've played here and won't be the last. Reasonably priced breakfast coupled with a warm welcome is always a great start at any course. The only thing stopping a 5 star review is the greens which are a bit patchy in places but certainly don't stop the enjoyment. Be aware this course is far from flat, and offers great views of the surrounding area. Overall a must play course in out opinion.

Overall a nice course, a few of the tee boxes could do with a bit of work and a couple of the greens we had to move the ball out of bad marks , but overall excellent value for money, will play there again definitely

Nice Course

Great course loads of different types of holes. Only slight issue is greens need a bit extra care and some bunkers need in slight repair overall good day out.

£1 per hole but needs investment

As a last minute knocki pick something local, the course has a great layout but thats where it stops. Reception area looked like it was a store room, the fairway grass was about 2inch long so effectively playing in the rough, 14 out of 18 greens were pitted like they have been used for chipping practice. 8/18 tee boxes were worn so badly it was just a patch of mud. This course has lots pf potential but needs investment and someone whos passionate

It is unusual for me to comment on reviews but I feel that i just cannot let this one pass. The fairways that were supposedly 2 inches long were cut and striped the day this person played at 16mm by me, we are now on the 2nd of May and they are still less than 20mm long so wherever this person was playing from it was not our fairways. The greens do at present have some fusarium scarring which we are in the process of growing out, just awaiting the warmer weather, the experienced golfers among you will know that is all you can do with fusarium. Three weeks ago we could not even get on the course to cut it because it was to wet so we are like most courses in the Uk very early in our maintenance cycle and have only this weekend moved on to our summer tees hence why it was only £18 per round.

Can’t believe it’s open ?

Played tonight and came off after 8 holes. The greens and general up keep of the first 8 holes was horrendous. The greens had big divots, bald patches and humps and lumps. It’s going to take a while to get the course anywhere near playable. The road down to the clubhouse has less potholes than the greens! Big disappointment
