An enjoyable Game of Golf
Loved the course, most unusual to start with a par 3 over water but made a nice change.
The course was well maintained and I enjoyed the greens. Not one 3 putt I usually have 2 or 3 three puts but not today. The chip butty from the club was great value and went down well with a pint of blonde.
Over zealous members
No mention of keeping trolletys a certain distance from greens from the pro shop , did as usuall and left trolleys approx 2 m from the green , then approached by two senior members to say we were too close ? Ok well stay a tad further back , the members then reported us to 3 greenkeepers who individualy came to tell us to stay further away ? I doubt well be returning
Good, fair course.
The course was in good condition. Most holes are tree-lined but the fairways are reasonably generous. If you go into the trees the ball will generally be able to be found and you then take your punishment chipping out.
It is a fairly easy walk around the course with only a few hills which are not particularly steep at all.
I thoroughly enjoyed the round and would recommend to others.
Top course
West End is a fantastic golf course. Picturesque and challenging...what more can you ask for.!? Will definitely be back again very soon.
Course in great condition for the winter season.
The course was in fantastic condition for the time of year and considering how much rain we’ve had recently. It’s been a long time since I’ve played it and it was ever as challenging as before. Looking forward to playing it again soon.
It’s Winter
So to see a course in such good nick with only one winter green and about 6 winter tees (mats) is exceptional. The staff look to have protected the course so w ell and it’s a credit to them.
Short course but tricky if you’re not straight.
You’ll enjoy it.
Course was in excellent condition for the time of year. Only one winter green in December is a credit to the greens staff
Lovely course
Had a lovely round of golf again,I am enjoying it so much might even become a member . I like the wide fairways ideal for a high handicappers
