One of the best courses I played on
Although I couldn't see the greens on a few holes but I had my mates who had played before guide me and I must say I loved the course. Didn't play well but I'm looking on breaking 80 in my next round.
Stunning course- hilly but lovely
Great golf course. Good course flow and range of holes. Difficult slopes and hilly generally but in great condition and friendly staff.
Great course for the fee
This is a great challenging course for the green fee. It is a friendly club and pace of play is good. It is a hilly course though so be prepared for a workout!
Great course
Challenging hills a slopes but a lovely well kept course.
Beautiful course
This was an excellent course on the day with clear skies and firm under foot. Although this course can play very tricky if you haven't played before due to the layout and geographical location. A few holes were blind shots and hope for the best.
Course management also struggled with getting groups out to assist the pace. But sending out a 4 ball on foot followed by 2 2balls and buggies was rather frustrating.
Overall, it was a great experience as the clubhouse staff were well presented and friendly and the course in good condition. I'd definitely play there again
Hazelmere
Very unique layout. Extremely challenging but rewarding when you get it right. Would love to come back once the season is in full bloom. Greens will be better condition and it will be 100% harder
Great April Round
The course as always in fantastic condition and pace of play was perfect. Obviously the fab weather and decent scoring helped! Thank you HGC
Greens and Bunkers Poor
Looked liked the greens had been spiked, they were very dry and bobly. Bunkers had plenty of mud and stones but not much sand. Played here several times, not found it in a poor state before.
Great course, like playing in summer
Surprised at how firm and fast the greens were, firm fairways, all round well maintained. Fairly hilly but enjoyed the walk, a good outing and a great challenge. Definitely returning for another round or few.
5 ball on course - again
The course had dried out a lot and was in good condition, although the greens were a bit patchy and not as good as usual. The pace of play was slow - due in part to the two groups ahead of us (a 3 ball and a 2 ball who were all friends) joined up to form a 5 ball as soon as they were out of sight of the clubhouse. This meant that the 4 ball in front of them who had lost a lot of ground didn’t let them play through and these 2 groups held up everyone behind.
Almost every time I’ve played at Hazlemere recently at a weekend I have observed a 5 ball on the course - this needs to be policed as it is putting me off playing at a weekend.
Wet muddy slog
Played on a wet Feb afternoon. Four temporary greens not mentioned when I checked in for my round. Course very wet and muddy throughout. Would not recommend through the winter as drainage seems to be an issue - would need to play again in the summer for a fairer assessment. Anyone with any walking / fitness issues needs a buggy.
Good Winter Course
This course fares much better in the Winter months than other courses in the surrounding area .When other courses are closed this will be open & when others have temporaries this will be on full greens.
Even after a lot of rain it drains really well & doesn't really get muddy .
Course maintenance always seems to be decent.
The course itself is reasonable but it is fairly hilly with several steep climbs
Very large newish car park & the clubhouse has been was modernised & efficient ,welcoming staff.
Course and greens in great condirtion
Suprised to see the course in such great condition given the amount of rain we have had recently. It's well maintained and no complaints at all.
Well maintained course with open fairways and little rough.
Enjoyable nine holes in perfect sunny weather. The course undulates considerably, so one needs to be quite fit to make the most of it. No hesitation in returning.
Pat
Excellent course , Joe on reception very helpful and friendly.
