The greens were in great condition considering all the rain recently, the only minor niggle was that tees didnt appear to have been cut for a while? the course looked good despite the overnight rain & it was surprisingly dry underfoot- will deffinately be back again
Don’t go.
Very poor layout, took over 2.5hours to get round 9 holes because of all the waiting and sharing fairways.
The members were very stuck up and rude to visitors. Didn’t feel welcome at all and won’t be wasting my money on this below average course again
22/10 18 Holes
Upon arriving there were staff members outside the clubhouse who couldn’t have been nicer. Immediately made to feel welcome. Great Covid-19 secure system in place. Had a nice chat with a staff member after finishing the first 9. Allowed to play through multiple times from other members/visitors who were also friendly. Shall return return soon. Thank you!
Heworth, York Golf Course
Played 18 holes today at Heworth Golf Club.
Although only an 11 hole course was in excellent condition, greens and fairways,.
Would play this course again, no problem, and would recommend to other golfers.
Only advisable comment to make was that several tee off areas were pitching marks that really need repairing.
Otherwise excellent.
A little gem
This course has a par 69 and the course record is 66 A golf pro playing in the east riding alliance competition described this as a little gem . On line booking is available via various tee times operators , Clubhouse recently revamped
Very poor
Played this course before it’s ok but certainly not the best in the area but booked it as the other local courses were all booked up, when I arrived there was a notice saying closed to visitors because of a competition and because there’s never any staff present I couldn’t even sort it out to get my money back, very poor from the club who obviously can’t be bothered to blank out the tee times that are not available on tee off times, won’t be going there again
A PLEASURABLE DAY AT HEWORTH GOLF CLUB
Played the course today,considering the amount of rain we have recently the course was in really good condition,there was some standing water but that didnt spoil the round what so ever,we only had to play on 3 winter greens,which were okay,but the other greens were in excellent condition,i will be definitely making more visits to Heworth,
NOT AN 18 HOLE COURSE!
A very pleasant part of the world, lovely people. Given the heavy recent rain the course held up pretty well BUT I was very disappointed when I realised this isn't actually an 18 hole course.
It's more like a 12 hole course - you share fairways and greens and the tees on a dozen or so holes are the same.
This made it rather tedious.
