Nice course, clearly this time of year the course is not great in places as a bit muddy in parts and plenty of leaves equal lost balls but that’s what you get this time of year...pluses are the course isn’t busy so plenty of time for a few practice shots and chats

Very good course if not rained the night before. Even after a full day of sun there were lots of boggy areas and mud paths everywhere. Not helped by letting too many buggies on.

Lay out very good and some challenging holes so would definitely recommend if been dry for a couple of days.

Only £4.95 for cooked breakfast so worth going an hour early to fill up for a slog through the mud!

Brilliant course and for the price well worth the drive, few tough holes at the start, fairways and greens well kept. Mixture of holes with a few good par 3s. Staff were friendly as were other players on course as some holes are a bit spread out.

Would definitely be play again.

Played at Hooton 5 times in the last 3 months. Good value municipal course. Staff are friendly and helpful. Generally well kept. Greens in good condition. Course has big wide fairways and some trees and water hazards, but very little rough, a few tricky holes, but generally good for beginners. Because of that play can be slow at times, but most beginners are happy to let you play through. There are also a lot of pedestrians on the course; dog walkers, kids and people looking for golf balls.

We enjoyed a round of golf here, nice course, greens and mixture of holes. Worthy recommendation and obtained on a hot deal so great value for money.

Only spoiler, I left a wedge on the back 9 stupidly. Went back and it was no longer there, plus no one has handed it it back in. Someone now has a nice Cleveland black wedge. Cheers

Fairways and greens in good condition, tees were rough and not level, very little sand in the bunkers but overall a good game of golf

We found the course to be poor in condition with greens particularly poor. It has the potential to be better but needs better care to be taken by green staff.

great course and a good challenge, course improving all the time. staff very friendly and helpful and food was spot on and reasonably priced. will be back soon go give it a try !! Bryan

Nice Course, unfortunately the round was slow but usually you can get round fairly quickly.
