Very positive first experience
After a wet night and a freezing morning wind we set off at 10am on a cold November morning. The course was in fantastic condition considering the weather (even the winter tees are better than usual) and the 1st green was a sight of things to come, a true roll and plenty of movement. The course offers hole after hole of new challenges with left and right turns, up and down hills, water hazards popping up through out the round with plenty of risk and reward choices. All in all a great course to play summer or winter. We will be back.

Played horsley a few times over the season..always an enjoyable experience mainly due to best finishing holes in Derbyshire .
Absolutely worth a visit
Considering it was the last week in October, the course was in excellent condition, particularly the greens. I suspect the challenge on the greens will be much harder in late spring and summer so I'm definitely coming back!
A note too for the staff who were all very friendly - maybe an overnight stay next year too?
Great course , superb value
Super course , great staff - need to play it a couple of times to learn the layout as there are a couple of blind shots. Some sloping fairways too so tee shots need to be to the correct half of the fairway. Save something for 17 and 18 - two tough par 4's to finish - 2nd shot to 17 over water so lay up unless you've hit the best drive of the day.
Most enjoyable
Excellent course, one of the best in the area. Many varied holes on the the course which keeps you interested and provides a enjoyable challenge. Greens are excellent.
