Golfer Reviews
Nice layout, not very long, greens in excellent condition
Decent course, with greens in good condition. The bunkers lacked a bit of sand in places, not not terrible. Due to the weather the fairways where very dry and hard, which meant for very long tee shots. It's an easy course with a number of short par 4's. Staff friendly and helpful.
Worth the money
Short course but in good condition and worth the money
Nice course, gets very busy however
Always a lovely course to play in the summer. Super friendly staff to greet you and in the bar afterwards. Course condition is OK at the moment, the tee boxes are a little lumpy and bumpy and the greens would benefit from some watering but overall it’s still a pleasure to play. It does get VERY busy as it’s one of the more reasonably priced pay and play courses in the area, so be prepared for a wait every now and then on the front 9. Friendly members who will often waive you through if playing on your own or even invite you to join them. Always enjoyable in the summer, and I will be back.
Decent round
Played here a few times now lovely course for the price. My only complaints would be you can get held up a few times especially as we played a two ball and not a fan of the clubhouse but there’s a nice pub next door for a post game pint
Great course
Played this course a few times now, lovely place, great layout, mostly flat (it’s a consideration for old knackered people like me) greens very well kept. The staff are very friendly (unlike some places I’ve played) all in all yeah I’d recommend it.
Course too short
Hurtmore was a nice course but it seemed like they’d tried to cram 18 holes into too small a plot of land, tee boxes needed a bit of tlc as well, as they weren’t very level and the grass was non existent in areas, it was more like teeing up in a goalmouth.
Great course great condition
The speed of play was ridiculously slow on the day but this is not always the case. A little more time may be needed to be allowed by the club when they have a slow society there.
Apart from that it is a great course, well maintained, at a good price with a great clubhouse..
Lovely course and great VFM
Just getting back into playing. £19 deal on golf now was excellent and standard weekend afternoon price is excellent too. Fairways and greens in excellent condition. Not too long and fairways generally forgiving so encouraging for mid to high handicappers. Busy but pace was fine. Will definitely be back.
