Great course

Really good course, nice layout and for a great price! Plenty holes for long drives! No club house on site more of a restaurant which is quite expensive. Will certainly be playing here again!

This course is bad. It’s a 9 hole course but 6 out of 9 greens are under repair and the alternative holes are pretty bad and shorter. The price is still normal. With 60 percent not available this course is a building site cot a golf course. Would not play again.

First visit was great, second was disappointing

Been here before, staff are always welcoming! Last time course was great! The connected restaurant is amazing (Manjaros). Sadly yesterday nothing was communicated to me about temporary greens and I would not have booked if I knew, just wasted my money if I’m honest.

The temporary greens were shocking, some shaved a lot of yards off holes that were not very long to start off with. Some holes were less than 100 yards and the greens were just rough fairway so putting was just impossible. Holes that had water hazards were cut short so it just killed any fun of the course.

The first hole didn’t even have a temporary green!

It was just very disappointed this wasn’t communicated on golfnow, I wouldn’t have booked if I knew this, when normal greens are up this course is brillliant!

Poor conditions not worth playing even for the £10 reduced.

Booked the course for a cheeky practice 9. Played here several times and always been great.

Everything was looking great today until we got onto the course. Temp greens on all but 3 of the holes. Course was in poor condition throughout. No notification of temp greens in bookings or when arriving at the course shop to confirm booking. 3 other golfers asked us while playing what we thought of the course as they also found it disappointingly poor compared to what they usually see. Better courses in the area at the moment, definitely worth paying a small amount more for 9 holes elsewhere.

Poor Course Conditions/Facilities

The course was in really poor condition, the green were all bumpy and slushy, the fairways were worse than rough, as the ball would disappear into ground making it impossible to find your ball. The course should not be open until the conditions were improved, and there was so much slow play, I guess this was due to the conditions, but would not consider playing here again. Poor!

Poor hospitality

Was only 7 of the 9 holes available to play but this was not mentioned beforehand. Made to feel extremely uncomfortable when trying to use the restaurant bar afterwards. Was made to sit outside in the cold.

Great little course

A lovely 9 hole course. It’s interesting and fun, challenging at times but also very playable. It also has an excellent driving range, pro shop and restaurant on site.

Really enjoyed it, will definitely visit again!

Avoid - not worth a tenner

The staff were rude, instructing us to book through their website instead of here through GolfNow. Incentivise us to do so with deals and better prices, don’t just give me an order.

The groundsmen are a joke - following us hole after hole, sitting in the middle of the fairways while we were stood on the tee boxes, and even driving over the wet greens leaving tyre tracks!

The course itself is dull and forgettable. The signage is poor and the tee boxes are often muddy and uneven. There are next to no yardage markers of any kind, and due to all of these reasons, we had a bad and boring round.

The lack of clubhouse is also a real detractor.

We won’t be back, and we’ll encourage our various societies and groups to look elsewhere. Not good enough.

Ingleby Barwick

Course is a good little challenge and tricky in parts, when you have the Tees running parallel to the fairways. Pace of play today was really good and the course was pretty quiet

Greens have recently been aeriated which is always a little disappointing, but understand its also necessary for upkeep.

Really enjoyed playing the dogleg 5th/14th that swings around the back of the course and whilst quite open, can be tricky off the tee.

All in all, a nice little course, that is still interesting even though you effectively play 9 holes twice.
