Shame no Marshall
Thought in general a lovely course, shame the game play was so slow, there were at times 3 groups waiting on a T, no Marshall going around hurrying up slow play like other courses I’ve visited. Course and club very nice. Great staff, great facilities., would play there again
BernRB
Kilworth Springs is a good test of golf even for the social golfer like me.
At just over 6200yds from yellow tee’s it provides a good mix of par 5s 4s and 3s.
Still haven’t got on the 18th par 3s green in one.
Pro shop and bar area staff are friendly and provide a relaxing atmosphere.
Thoroughly recommend it.
Great winter course
We played after a long period of heavy rain, our golf course was closed. The course relies on rough albeit short at time of playing, bunkers (Although lots of stones in them), fast undulating large fast greens.. The course is not particularly hard, but was very windy, as located in a exposed area.. I would play again especially in the winter, the course would me much shorter in the summer.
Windy Kilworth
Blowing a gale, home course closed and considering the rain we have had Kilworth was in remarkably good condition and relatively dry. Greens had been spiked and a little bumpy but that’s a very minor grumble as they were still very good for time of year. Recent upgrade to the driving range with new mats and tarckman was also a pleasant surprise since last visit. Good course, playable throughout the year and would recommend
Autumn squeeze
Had a 2:52 tee time for a 2 ball and managed to get 13 holes in before the light became poor.
Played as a member 15+ years ago great winter course layout but needs some TLC to bring it back to it’s former glory
Pace of play is so slow!
It took me an hour to play four holes due to the slow pace of play of the 2 ball and 4 ball in front of me, who wouldn’t let me play through. Was so frustrated that I left after 4 holes as I didn’t want to spend the entire afternoon and evening waiting to get round 18 holes. Management need to do something about their booking system and encourage people to play faster, it’s ridiculous! I won’t be going back.
a good round
kilworth springs is a good walk enhanced , great views and if you are striking the ball well you really can have a great round of golf . the staff are friendly and knowlegable . exellent value for money .will be playing again soon .
Poor greens
Played Kilworth Springs today
Booked online but told when teeing off that greens were being maintained , they were awful
The club should inform visitors when booking that greens would be poor, if I had known I would not have played
Good variable course let down by maintenance
While playing the ground staff dumped a thick layer of sand/loam over 4 of the first 7 greens. This made the greens unplayable. All other greens had been scarified which made the ball bobble when putting.
Fantastic course in immaculate condition
Chose Kilworth as it is equidistant for myself and my old school mate. Both of us were blown away by the condition of greens and fairways. Beer was great too.
Nice return visit
Not played here for 15 years. Maturing nicely. Tees were poor but apart from that course was ok.. Lovely views and a perfect day weather wise
Madecitcan enjoyable day
Rough
The course layout was generally good and there were some interesting holes. However the pace of play was very slow so much so that we invited the two ball behind to join us. The greens were slow but not easy with some undulations making judging the line important. The general condition of the course was as I would put it, very rough and ready. The first impression anyone has is the tee box and these were very poor, some were placed just as though they were an afterthought and were not looked after. Moving the markers helps them recover but it looked as though this had not been done in a long time.
