Excellent course
I can see why it such high reviews. Challenging well maintained course on the edge of the Staffordshire moorlands. We’ll worth a visit!
Enjoyable
The course was in great condition proper sand in the bunkers everywhere looked well maintained thoroughly enjoyed myself
Absolute Gem
I don’t normally do reviews but I was so impressed with the course that I feel obliged to write one. Some of the tee positions are breath taking with no two holes the same. The only minus points I could give the course are the greens had been aerated that morning which they didn’t mention when I rang and the other being they were funny about parking a work van on the main car park which I thought was a bit snooty but they did apologise for the rule at the same time. Didn’t spoil my experience though.
Lovely, well maintained, fair course.
Some temporary greens when I played. But overall, the course was in very good condition. This was my first visit and I’ll definitely return.
Leek Golf Club
Played here for the first time on a Hot Deal. I can only play using a buggy as I’m disabled, but no discount from the Club Pro on the price of £25 (more than the round!!) The course was wet so had to keep the buggy in the rough. Lots of worm casts on the fairways. The greens were in great condition and only one winter green. Held up by a ladies comp from holes 9 to 15 but still under 4 hours. Would love to play this nest spring/summer if they start giving concessions on the buggy price for disabled players!
Interesting Parkland with good elevation changes
First time playing here and very impressed with the course. Greens were looked after and each hole provided a new challenge. Naturally a hilly course so holding the fairways wasn’t easy especially with the heat. Some fantastic elevated tees and plenty of tree trouble if you stray off line. Would recommend and look forward to playing again.
Fantastic fairways
Really good course, some challenging holes where accuracy is paramount, if you end up in the trees invariably you can only chip out.
Loved the challenge and will be back again, lad in the shop really helpful & friendly & I thought the idea of pitch repair pouches was a nice touch, probably the reason why the fairways were looking so fine as there was evidence that most people do in fact repair their divots.
Excellent course give it a go, you won’t be disappointed
Great course in great condition and really friendly.
Love playing Leek. The course was in great condition this week. The course itself has a great layout, some really testing holes. As always members really friendly.
Cracking course
Played Leek golf course a few days ago and what a track!
Bring your walking legs with you as it’s tough on your legs!
Lovely course and the greens are running fast
Definitely play again!
Golf at Leek
A very good course and not bad condition for time of year, price was a little to expensive as there were quite a few temporary greens. The Pro in Golf shop was very helpful and club members were also friendly and helpful out on the course. Looking forward to playing there again when we have better weather as it was a well layed out course.
Great Course
Picked a great day to play in November. Very friendly members, spoke to separate members in the car park, extremely friendly. Course itself is absolutely beautiful. Winter tees but still full greens. Course is well laid out and a good challenge. Played about 4 or 5 times here and it’s amongst my favourite clubs to play. Had a great day, thanks.
