Leek Golf Club

The weather was just perfect, course in great condition , greens fast and needed careful watching- no pressure to rush-played around lunchtime which was the reason- an enjoyable day at a really nice course- can recommend course and variety of holes

Leek GC is lovely, a really nicely laid out course, a great challenge with really interesting varied greens and it’s kept very well, if you can find a clear booking spot definitely play it. Unfortunately I was playing when there was a seniors event on and the pace of play was glacial. Unfettered I did the first 10 in 80 minutes. Then I caught the tail off a very very very slow train, on the 14th green there were 4 grouse of us waiting, all separate but together on a tree waiting for the slowest golfers I’ve ever encountered having played for 40 years. The final 8 took me a further three and a half hours. So slow that it has put me off ever returning I’m afraid. Great course but check that diary!!

Course was in good condition and the food at the clubhouse was excellent

The course was in great condition greens we excellent and all the same pace. Will be playing a lot here this year.

Well maintained course and thoroughly enjoyable round of golf. Mostly elevated tee boxes, hitting onto elevated greens. Greens were a challenge to get the ball to stop on them, but expected with the dryer conditions. Equally challenging and a visitor friendly course. Would recommend highly and will be back!

Just the right mix of hilly and flat holes always giving you something to think about. All the staff and members we met were welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be back for another round.

Nice course. Tricky when the wind got up. Greens could do with a bit of improvement (bobly)

Definitely worth playing

We were held up by a four ball of members in front,they were very slow,we were getting fed up but we’re asked by 2 members behind us to join up with them,they turned out to be good people who we had an enjoyable round with

Superb morning playing golf on a fantastic day, course great condition etc etc.

Only downside was the attitude of people in the clubhouse, notably after the round.

Despite the fact that Sunday's empty pints were still on the patio there seemed a real reluctance to have any offer open, despite it being a beautiful day. Directed in the bar area to use the coffee machine, there were 3 people behind the bar. One of which immediately shouted 'we are closed, there's a sign on the door & you shouldn't be in here'. How friendly!

Surely given the last 12 months 1)they would be ready, open etc to offer hospitality & 2)be happy to give it.

The course is amazing though, especially on a perfect day...
