Etiquette
We followed a 2 Ball who were very naive in the rules of the game. A few shots were taken off the tee on each hole they played. They caught up and joined a 4 Ball who were playing with 3 sets of clubs. In frustration, we bypassed 2 holes to be waiting on a couple with a buggy on the 6th tee. They were held up by a 3 Ball who had the same lack of etiquette as the previous players ie deliberate slow play, wandering on to other fairways with no regard for other players and having chats on the green after putting out! The couple on the 6th were making it their last hole after paying £60 for golf and a buggy. We persevered until the 12th. I know we all have to start somewhere, but the complete lack of etiquette led to a most disappointing experience. Perhaps a reminder of the rules and a check on bag sharing before commencing play might be helpful.
Good Value course, with some challenging holes
As a relatively new golfer (2 years playing), Little Hay is a good course to play. Well kept, some long holes and some wide fairways. Greens had been recently watered, so the off one was a little spongy, but otherwise fine. It can be a little confusing on where the next tee box is, and there are limited signs. There is a driving range and also a 9hole at Little Hay.
Large carpark and reasonable club house.
Challenging but fun
The course was a challenge but enjoyable great views of the local area the greens were really quick almost like bowling greens pins were set misdle to back of the greens staff were great and when on the first tee the green keeper came up and checked everyone and gave the two guys i met there about us going out as a three ball as to help speed the games up .Would recomed this course to any one that wants a challenge
Little hay golf course
Good layout and decent fairways but the greens and bunkers were not very good.
Great deal via GN.
Nice course with some challenging holes. Greens a little long so slow but overall a course I’d come back to again.
Fairways needed a cut , greens where being worked on and where slow but not bad condition, bunkers where very very hard , layout was a bit confusing, with lots of range balls about , for £15 good value anything more I wouldn't have been so pleased .
Holes themselves well designed , good par 3s too.
Reasonable Course - good value for a new player
This is quite a long course, not too many hills and only 1 water hazard. The grass was a bit long and the greens a little 'bobbley' but generally a good course. The layout is a little confusing to first timers.
Good Driving range and putting green. Plenty of parking.
wouldn’t pay £1 to play here
Greens were shocking and unmaintained , you’d be lucky to find a nice patch of grass on the tee boxes for your ball , same goes for the fairways , everything about the course was awful , few rude members as well. Not sure how this club has paying members with the state of it , £33 pound a round! Wouldn’t pay £1 to play here
