Greens full of sand

Having booked this through GolfNow & charged £35 per person I though maybe we should have been notified before booking, spoke to someone at clubhouse who told us that he had been charged a reduced fee because of course maintenance. Feel like we’ve been had, was probably worth £20 the round

Very warm welcome and course in excellent condition - one minor disappointment was the clubhouse and bar closes at 4pm so had to drive to nearest pub for post game refreshments.

Over priced

First time I'd seen Middlesbrough GC (Brass Castle) on Golf Now so I was looking forward to playing it.

Although most holes has some really nice features - dog legs, water, slopes and stunning views of the Cleveland hills etc, the course conditions were extremely poor. The greens were in terrible condition, the fairways were extremely patchy and hadn't been cut in days. My friend and myself were left very disappointed. To charge £30 to play this course is simply not worth it in the current condition. It should be half this price.

If I ever decided to play this course in future I will certainly call ahead and ask for the condition the course is in.

For now i will play other courses in the area which are in alot better condition and significantly cheaper.

Great Course but over priced at this time of year

Booked this course on a hot deal at £30. Upon getting to course found out 3 holes closed and playing off mats on fairways. Course very wet and I think there would have been a case for closing another two holes. I have played this course several times and love it. However, best avoided at this time of year if conditions are wet, particularly at £30 for a round.

Another great afternoon out

Another very enjoyable round on one of the best courses in the area. The greens were a bit quicker today and in excellent order. Looking forward to playing the course again.

A proper course!

Played as a 2 ball on a damp evening but a good pace of play on a course that challenged but rewarded good shots. Very enjoyable and would recommend it to the average or better golfer.
