New Forest Golf Club

Nice weather always helps, and upon arriving enjoyed coffee and bacon bap at very reasonable price. Out tee time 10:52 was just before a small society group and we had nobody on the course ahead of us so enjoyed a leisurely round without any hold-ups. Fairways starting to improve with spring weather but lies still tight and challenging. Greens played nicely. No winter tees which makes a difference too! All in all a very enjoyable round and the New Forest ponies were politely absent! Enjoyed refreshments outside in the sun after the game.

First time playing here and didn’t know what to expect being a heathland course .

Greens were fair, course was bumpy as to be expected .

The course played well. It was pretty busy.

With the ground dry, there is plenty of roll on the ball and sensible play can serve you well.

When the wind blows (as it did) it can get quite interesting…

Most tee's on mats, without holes for pushing in normal tee's. Many tee's moved forward due ground very wet and muddy. Fairways in poor condition.

Greens in excellent condition and fast.

Course very busy but still got round in 3hours 20mins,staff very friendly and helpful,booked thru Golfpass under £30 for both of us,great value

The greens were quick and in good condition, the fairways were trim so had plenty of roll. Fiona was friendly & very helpful in the clubhouse. Will go back again soon.

The course had standing water every where and all tee’s were off mats. You couldn’t get a normal tee peg into the mat as they were on wooden boards. Greens were surprisingly dry and quite fast. Overall just enjoyed playing despite the conditions

Course is decent, Some tricky spots here and there which can make the course a bit more challenging just know where to miss it ;)

Greens are so good for this time of the year, Everything rolled out pure.

Overall really good experience and really good value for money!

Never played before, but what a gem

Played on 16th Oct & got lucky with a perfect warm sunny day with little wind. Fairways were awesome. Lovely tight lies that you would expect from a heathland style course. Greens in good nick too & very true, so any missed putts were due to the putting stroke !

With a good drive, most par 4's reachable with a short 2nd iron shot. Good mix of long & short par 3's

Everyone was friendly & welcoming + added bonus of seeing New Forest ponies wandering happily around the course

The course was busy but the pace was good with no slow play.

I was unaware of the fact that if you pay for 4 players and only 2 can make it that you do not get a refund or a voucher. I wasn’t aware that you cannot get a refund from the course or from golf now on hot deals which is unfortunate.

Warm welcome when we arrive. Not busy, so we teed off almost immediately, ahead of our tee time. Some of the greens were not in fantastic condition, but this is to be expected when there is such amazing wildlife wandering around the course. It wasn’t the most challenging of courses as it was quite forgiving (I didn’t lose a ball which is most unusual) with wide fairways, and so I would definitely recommend it for a high handicapper. However, my wife and I both enjoyed all round and would visit the course again.
