well for the first time playing this course it was quite good to be fair the first 14 holes where nice to play wide fairways the only thing i found challenging was the green speeds they where very fast hard to get the pacing right on them will need to take a different putter next time we play it had a few issues with the odd dog walker and people just taking a leisurely walk across the course and the only other thing was the sign posting not overly clear for the next hole you had to go too holes 15,16,17 where not in the best of condition 15 being shortened due to drainage issues and 17 fairway a bit on the long side regarding how the grass was cut i would play this course again and just miss out the 3 holes mentioned and still have a nice game of golf the staff were very friendly so cant fault that at all

A Nottingham municipal course, as long as it's cheap it is a good starter course but for better players, or players used to a well conditioned and looked after courses, spend more on better..layout forgettable, no feature holes, but as stated, a good cheap starter course.

Excellent value for the £6 twilight fee we played apart from holes 15,16 &17 the course was in fantastic condition and will definitely play again soon

Alot of average to bad reviews about his course which i think is harsh. This is a ex council course which has been neglected for years. You can already see a vast improvement in the ideas and ways of the new ownership. The course has a testing and trying layout. Tee boxes do needed improvement but will come in time i hope. Its a course under reconstruction and at the moment 18 holes for 9 quid is a bargain. 1 hole has been shortened for the foreseeable however thats due to a big gathering of water in wet weather across the fairway. Spoke to groundsman and he said works starting to drain it better. Once its had abit of time for the new ownership to get things right how they intend this will be a great course.

So I gave this course a decent review last time having gone when it was just opening up and only played 9 holes. Played full 18 this time. First half of course is OK if not brilliantly maintained. However, second half gets increasingly rough until you are basically playing in a field on several holes. People casually playing football on one fairway. No flags on last few holes because local kids keep nicking them. Final straw was feral youths on motorbikes who were using part of course as a track. Not sure if this is a standard experience but we will never go again. Huge shame for very nice staff who I suspect do their best in difficult circumstances.

- Great course for beginners looking to practice on course with easy going rules on attire etc.

- Course layout fairly simple without any really challenging holes.

- Fairways in good condition but greens slow.

- Pace of play was okay with people letting through where necessary.

- Overall: well worth the money given the price but would look elsewhere if you want a challenging round with fast greens.

Was better then I expected after comments off people i know. My playing partner said they have improved a lot on last year. For the price an absolute bargain

Come off 14th no 15th markings par 3 instead of par 4 also temporary green on 15th greens not good on 16 17th also motor bikes on the course but good price for 13 pounds for 15 holes

Used to be great hole. Shortened it for some reason. And the new green needs time to bed in

First 14 holes not bad, greens needed rolling and mowing,

But the 15 th which is index 1 was incomplete, and was being played as a par 3,

We were not told this and the course has surely had enough time to get it ready,

But not a bad course for the money.

A golf course that is of average quality but a good opportunity to get out after such a long time off due to lockdown.

However, what could have been a pleasant day was overshadowed by a group of members behind us that were rude and aggressive. This group of members asked us to speed up, on the second tee! This was whilst waiting for a four ball to clear the fairway in front. They were 200 yards into the distance, perhaps the members are not familiar with the driver.

We waited on every tee. Not a problem for us as the group in front was keeping up with theirs. However, the members behind us were pressurising us to the point where we played a tee shot before the group in front had cleared 250 yards. Luckily my drive rolled up a few yards short of the group in front. We used this opportunity to politely remind the group behind that this is why you should not rush players on a busy day.

What followed was really quite appalling. One of the gentleman in the group behind approached my playing partner and confronted him. After listening to him and offering our point of view he threatened us. Naturally this ruined our day. In 10 years of golf I have not experienced anything of this nature. If you have the opportunity to play elsewhere I implore you to do so.

First time here and I loved it. Beautifully maintained, well designed, unexpectedly quiet, with a real sense of space. Couldn't recommend it more highly.
