There really isn’t much point in writing this review, given that I didn’t get to play in the end. Arrived, made my way to the first tee: only to find a grass cutter or whatever course maintenance vehicle it was parked on the first tee, staff chatting away and having no urgency to move the vehicle. After waiting for 5 minutes, I ran out of patience and walked back to my car to go home.

It’s not the best of courses anyway, with many issues such as a proper lack of direction to instruct players where holes are, and it being difficult to tell the difference between fairway and light rough, which is why it’s so cheap as more often than not, green fees reflect the quality of the course. I’ll probably go again because it’s so cheap, but it’s certainly not competition standard or one to play with your mates.

Played this course as part of a friendly tournament with my friend around Nottingham. This was the first course we played of 4 and we were not disappointed. Well looked after course with lovely elevated tees which give you great views on the hole. Only issue was the 15th hole which seemed out of place when we finally found it after struggling to locate. Would recommend and we will be playing again!

staff are fine and friendly enough the course is ok layout is a bit of a mess can be a bit of a trek to the next tee box my main issue was the condition of the tee boxes they where quite think like they needed to be mowed much closer than they where when placing a tee into the ground it did tend to get buried under all the grass when there was some because some not all where quite mossy in places meaning your club would snag up on it causing you to pull or slice shots from time to time which did make the round today somewhat of a challenge and my playing partner was forced to pull out of the round because of the condition of these tee boxes

Since finishing the course ive played 4 times and i must admit its a hidden gem. Lovely scenary tucked away. Work done on the course is beginning to show and the challenge is good. Lets hope15,16,17 is sorted as soon as possible.

Course had gone down hill over recent years, however under new ownership; greens are better, 15th green sustained water damage over winter which is currently under repair, once complete decent enough course to play for all levels

The only problem was signage to the fiftheenth hole and a trek down a muddy track ,

The course is nice and long there are tricky hazards to avoid there are a few issues with the course the fairways don't roll how you would expect I found myself in some very odd plugged lies on the fairways the greens are very fast and I often found myself wondering why did that end up there when you barely touched it and then there are holes 15,16,17 these holes are to be avoided until they are brought up to standard hole 15 is in the middle of the fairway now as they have had drainage issue with this hole so it has been severely shortened not much of a putting surface to speak of to get to 16 it is a long walk round and this putting surface is a little bit better but not much and then there is hole 17 another level longish hole but the green is a dog's dinner not much grass to speak of just not worth it and too get to these three holes you have a long trek through the woods and across a busy road and down another steep bank to get to those holes I would say to avoid these holes until they have been fixed and if you did do that then you could have a good round of golf

As the price was so cheap, I feared the worst but was very pleasantly suprised. The course is well established, with big wide, tree-lined fairways. The rough was a little unforgiving if you missed the fairways and the greens weren't exactly Augusta, but for so cheap they were better than you would expect. The 15th is currently a short par 3 on a temp greeen, but the rest of the course is in good condition. Would really recommend for the excellent value for money.

The course layout is very good . If it was looked after better would be a very good course . Disappointed by the 15th 16th and 17th holes they lower the course set up ...the greens need work on ...not all I would say tho ...but overall I enjoyed my round

The 3 holes over the road are not great 15th 16th and 17th apart from that nice course and very nice greens

Not a bad course for the price. Could do with some more maintenance especially 15 - 17 holes I understand that there is work in progress but very marshy in the area. I would like to see what it’s like after the work is carried out. I understand the comments with motor bike track on a couple of holes and people walking around the course freely. Staff were nice and friendly. I’d play again in the near future

Having played this course for the first time, I was initially sceptical about the price having considered playing here before biting the bullet.

On arrival I was informed of the 15th being a temporary par 3 meaning you've got to walk at least 3/4 of the hole to the 16th tee. I can't think of any outstanding holes to make me want to go back in a hurry.

Daisies are an issue on the fairways which were a little to long and the greens not the best by a long shot.

For a few extra pound you'll find lot better courses.

Overall an OK course but massive improvements to be made to make this a course to be played over again.

well for the first time playing this course it was quite good to be fair the first 14 holes where nice to play wide fairways the only thing i found challenging was the green speeds they where very fast hard to get the pacing right on them will need to take a different putter next time we play it had a few issues with the odd dog walker and people just taking a leisurely walk across the course and the only other thing was the sign posting not overly clear for the next hole you had to go too holes 15,16,17 where not in the best of condition 15 being shortened due to drainage issues and 17 fairway a bit on the long side regarding how the grass was cut i would play this course again and just miss out the 3 holes mentioned and still have a nice game of golf the staff were very friendly so cant fault that at all
