Bulwell hall is my local and regular course. Usually I can't fault the place, but recently it was well below par. First off all they had closed 3 (arguably the best) holes because of fixing drainage issues. Obviously those issues need resolving, but they were still charging full price to go round.
Also there had been some rain in the days before, and although they were fixing the drainage issues, they hadn't spiked any of the greens. This meant there was a lot of standing water on them.
Very poor conditions
Slow round with little etiquette from players in front. Ruts in fairways from vehicles and trolleys dried from when very wet when course was unplayable due to ground conditions. Long rough and dry greens not holding ball. Some holes not worth playing due to poor maintenance. Needs to improve a lot and tickets from cafe staff who seemingly don’t know the course itself. Dog walkers all over and no signage for next holes . Ignoring emails . Would not return here having given it a chance in Summer. Winter its very very muddy.
I love playing bulwell hall, it's very local to me and the value for money is excellent. But yesterday I paid £20 for a round whereas usually it's between £10 and £15. 3 of the holes were out of play because of them sorting drainage out, and the price wasn't altered to reflect this.
Enjoyable
Enjoyed the course, it was very windy on the day so lots of leaves on the greens, bit of a trek from 14-15 and not much signage but apart from that good course.
Overall the course is in great except for one hole 15th some work in progress , greens & fairways are in great conditions would happily play there again
Nothing on Golfnow, not even told by the clubhouse, but 3 holes are out of action.
Good value for money,
Course was in very good condition. A few of the greens had a couple of minor issues in areas but overall for the price the quality of the greens and fairways was very good and we will be returning.
Great Course
The course was in immaculate condition, which is majorly impressive considering how much of the course was under water just a few months ago. The greens were brilliant. The fairways had been freshly cut, and were being cut during breaks in between groups. I finally managed to break the 100 barrier as well, despite my putter being an absolute melt.
Nice round
Good value for money this course .. a lot of work has been done to this course over last year or so and it’s starting to show . Not a hilly course pretty flat really so if your getting on in years a nice course to play .. clubhouse is also an excellent place to get a drink and a bit of food . Staff very friendly and made you feel welcome
Superb day
Great value, course gets better every time we play it. Recommend it to all. We will be back soon.
Great course
We really enjoyed playing this course. Some really nice holes, fairways and greens in excellent condition with the weather we have been having. Well worth a visit.

First time back to course for few years
Greta value for money well looked after can’t beat it for the price
The great advantage for seniors or mobility sufferers, is that it is reasonably flat with only the16th having an incline of note. Since the management change, this course gets better. Well done.
