Ramsey Golf & Bowls Club

The condition of the course was terrible it should be closed until they bring the course up to a decent standard there was cracks on every fairway also there was temporary greens that we wasn’t told of if I had known how bad the course condition was in we never would have played there.

I play regularly, but on this day I was not informed that 5 holes were temporary greens & the cracks on 3 holes were worse than previously experienced. Balls hit down the fairway just disappear, you spend 3 mins looking in every hole.

Just a few tees that were a little awkward to find

Would defo play again

Whilst only a short par 70 there are enough interesting features and tight lines to make this a challenging course.

Playing as a two ball having not played it before, a couple of the holes are very challenging to play blind. Particularly the par 5 14th where you 2nd shot is blind over an old railway embankment, is particularly interesting!

All in all though great fun and would recommended it.

Had a great afternoon at Ramsey.Lovely well kept course.Staff were really friendly and helpful.Guy in pro shop even lent me a course map as it was our first visit.Will definitely play it again

The course layout brings the fun of golf out. Shaping the driver off the tee makes a big difference. The design is just so different and the greens were excellent considering how early we are in the season. The course is in the middle of the town and adds to the old world feel. Loved it

Though the green conditions and fairways are in fairly good conditions, I could not find a toilet along the course except at club house. It’s quite muddy on some of the walking pathway around and between fairways. The club’s changing room is under renovation, hope it turns better after completion. Pro-shop staff, Stuart, was very helpful. Overall it’s value for money and would come again in the future.

Course was pretty and in good condition but pace of play was slow unfortunately

Greens were great and it’s very well kept

Learnt about all the great trees as me and my hacking partner walked through the forest on every hole ..first time playing here definitely will go back ..with a lot more balls in the bag..lovely course , greens are awsome ..highly recomend you go have a game.

Great course with some very interesting dog legs which challenge you decide whether to take the risky route over/around trees or the longer and safer route around. Greens are good, but unfortunately the halfway house was shut, but there is a drinking water station to refill bottles by hole 10
