good value interesting course

Played the course early spring. The course was a bit sodden in areas and some bunkers had standing water. There were winter tee boxes on all holes. Some were artificial turf which were well kept and flat. However the ones that weren't were not the best. But it's winter! The course layout was very interesting with elevation changes, blind shots and some very undulating greens. This made for challenging putts! The food was tasty but lacked the presentation.
I would definately recommend playing the course, but ideally wait for dry weather. A good golf course that maintained interest.

A spectacular golf course!

Reddish Vale is a course that deserves to be a lot better known. In and above the beautiful Tame Valley on the outskirts of Stockport the course is full of memorable holes, almost any of which would be lauded as the 'Signature Hole' on some other courses in the area.

Stand-outs are;

6th - a 240 yard par 3 drop shot to a green far bolow one's feet

13th - Unbelievably tough long par 4 to a microscopic green that cannot be seen until you get there!

14th - Spectacular drive from high tee over bend of river.

16th - Dogleg along curving river to green almost completely surrounded by water.

I cannot recommend Reddish Vale enough. A superb day's golf.
