Great course conditions good however -

Overall course is in great condition and appears well managed, especially given the recent longterm dry weather.

The only issue which I feel needs addressing is that of range balls cascading into both the 1st and 18th fairways. The 18th was worse with a couple of balls landing near us as we were playing our shots from the fairway. The netting appears clearly too low and needs addressing before there is an accident. Otherwise very happy with the visit.

Regent park

Very busy the course hadn't been waters in quite some time greens were very dry and pathy in places ,some of the tees need attention, as you where stood in very large divits at times trying to tee off ,it is a nice course just needs a bit more attention.

Value for money

Usually this course is in a very good condition. Today the greens resembled Blackpool beach with the abound sand in them. Disappointed to be charged £30 per player while the course is in this condition. It leaves a poor taste in the mouth considering the standard will increase as we live towards the summer but charging this price while greens are in sub-standard condition isn’t really fair.

Good day out

Nice warm sunny day but quite windy for our visit.

Good pace of play, just a single player in front of us so he was soon gone out of the way.

Tee boxes a little worn in parts but the greens were the best we have played on so far this year.

The course is not the most difficult nor the longest but we enjoyed our day there.

We used the 19th hole spike bar after for for food and drink afterwards, very nice, apparently you need to be a social member to use the facility, although they made an exception for us. Thanks.

Windy weather
Walked

A pretty good course, but prices are high.

Recently this course has been playing really well, and is well maintained with well conditioned greens and nice fairways.

It used to be really bad during winter, but this last season it wasn't too bad although they do often shut the 3rd hole (par 3).

It could do with being a par 73, The 12th is a 442yds par 4, with a tricky uphill lie at driver distance, yet it's only 2 yards shorter than the 1st par 5 which is a much easier hole aside from the driving range OB left.

They installed GPS systems into the buggies, which is great if you use one, but if you don't, the prices still make sure they're paying them off. £35 is steep for this course, If 1 is unplayable and 10 is top quality, this is around a 4.

If you can play with a member, or mid week, it's a good course.

Winter round

Have played here a few times and normally enjoy, but this time 3 greens were closed and another green was shortened by 60%. So great in summer but winter really took its toll. The first hole is normally littered with range balls so some better netting wouldn't go a miss. All said will be back when it's dried out again.

Too Expensive for time of year

Me and my friend played on saturday. Yes it’s winter yes it’s very wet, but why on earth are we being charged £27.50, each, for a course that’s only partially open.

The front 9 was an absolute travesty. 3 out of 9 holes were closed, and the remaining holes were shortened by approx 1000yards.

The price needs to reflect the conditions, and it didn’t. The back 9 was very playable and we quite enjoyed that. Maybe close the front 9 and allow golfers to play the back 9, twice.

Regent Park Bolton

Course was ok but one hole was closed due to drainage works and two par5s were reduced to par3s. We were still charged the full rate. Drinks in the club house were expensive.

So so so slow

Played today really slow front 9 took about 2.5 hours. Waiting every shot. 2 balls in front then multiple 4 balls.

Course has seen better days, back nine flowed better than front 9, seems some people gave up.

Greens were ok not brilliant a lot of rough grass and patches on fairways.

Could be really good, poor drainage

Nice course, good pro shop and decent range with top tracer. A lot of soggy ground after not a huge amount of rain recently. Would be spot on if the drainage was better.
