Deane Golf Club

Played Sunday 25th January rained night before but course and greens was still very good considering time of year. Couple of holes were temporary but still enjoyed would recommend

Course still in great condition in December,

2nd time playing here and now consiodering moving memberships to Deane.

3RD hole has now claimed 3 balls in two rounds

Lovely Course with some very challenging holes, Played in November and dispite poor weather leading up to the day the course played well and all the greens in play.

Beware the 3rd hole, its a ball devourer.

Totally amazed at the condition of the course. The greens were fantastic(except 10(temp))

played off a mat on the fairways. Its a challenging course but not impossible to break 90

I will def be back to play it again

Good course conditions where ok staff where very helpful and friendly course is very tight with multiple tees crossing different greens

Thought I’d give it another try and same as last time it is the slowest pace of golf I’ve ever had to endure. Club members are ignorant and self absorbed 2 fourballs wouldn’t budge to let a single player through every green took 10 plus minutes. Unless you can get out first tee don’t bothe. It’s sad because it really is a well set out course but 4hrs plus for 15 holes was enough for me.

New to golf and never played this course before, had a great time and despite awful weather the full week beforehand the course was in very good condition

Really enjoyed my round greens in immaculate condition rest of course is very dry as most are in this condition. Members are a bit of a pain they are very pushy when behind you but the 2 in front were really slow took ages on greens and getting in and out of buggies. Some great holes though and strange to start and finish with a par 3. Well worth the HOT DEALS price.

Played here before,nice relaxed atmosphere,course in great condition,staff were helpful & polite as always.

Love the new changes to the course layout. The dry weather has really helped firm up the course. Challenging but rewarding. Will be great once the changes have had time to embed themselves.

Beautiful course, a bit lost first time, share same tee box on 7th and 15th, had to hit down the right fair way

or you could end up playing 16th instead of 8th Lol, just me, challenging course, excellent, Love it.

I booked to play Deane earlier in the week. Upon arriving I was told by Bob in the shop that the course was on temps greens, this wasn’t ideally as it didn’t state on Golf Now, but after looking again on Deane’s website, it did state on temp greens. From arriving, Bob was welcoming and friendly and showed me where to go and gave a brief overview of the course and explained the course rules - winter mats etc. As I got to the first tee, earlier than my tee time, a four ball of members arrived for their tee slot. I was worried incase I had to play behind them and was dreading a slow round, but to my surprise they allowed me to play in front of them, which made the round much more enjoyable! I caught up to another 4 balls during my round, and again they straight away let me through and gave me advice on where the target line was. From my interactions with the members and staff, I was really impressed!

The only down side to the course was that it was winter tees off mats and temp greens, so I couldn’t get a full impression of the course, but eager to return and see what it is like!

Nice course friendly locals,improvements to course look good, greens a bit bumpy but apart from that a good round of golf in the sun for a change

Only 12 holes open so quick round friendly staff greens in good condition considering all the rain we have had fairways also ok

The course only had 12 holes open even though we payed for 18. I got a phone call while I was on the way to the course to play it, so it was too late to rearrange anything else. The pro did say we could go around twice if we wanted but I didn’t really think that was an option! He still charged my son £3 for a golf trolley which I think was abit unfair as we’d payed £20 each for the golf! Great course but won’t play again until it’s guaranteed all open again

I was a bit disappointed that the clubhouse was shut, when we finished our round at 6.15, as we we’re planning on having a bite to eat. However, this was the only negative.

The course was in tip top condition from tee to green, the layout is very interesting and makes for a decent challenge.

I would recommend Deane GC to anyone and will certainly be returning soon, albeit with an earlier tee time.

Wasn't sure what to expect with only 1 par 5 and 5 par 3's but this was a lovely little course with a ravine running through it making some tricky approach shots, had to be straight off the tee and par 3's were all different. Worth a trip 👍👍
