Just terrible
I really fail to understand how this course gets such good ratings. The only thing positive I can say is that the greens were decent. Everything else was terrible. Save your money and go and play elsewhere.
The driving range had a couple of stalls with matts and other on the grass, however, there was no grass! Only dirt to play from.
The white tees, which are probably the best tees to play from distance wise otherwise the course is really short, are reserved for members only. First time I hear that there is a tee box for members only.
They let way too many people out on the course. On the first hole, which is 260 yards from the yellow tee, we were 4 groups. On the second hole, a par 3, we were 3 groups.
They also seem to let anyone out. The group ahead of us didn't seem to have a hcp and were sharing 2 bags for 4 players. On the second hole, the par 3, they started playing while the others were still on the green.
The fairsways and tee boxes were in quite poor condition.
This was a very unpleasant experience and we decided to give up after it took us 75 mins to play four holes. Definitely not worth 37 pounds. We won't be coming back. There are so many other better courses for that money.
Been wanting to play here for sometime and pleasantly surprised didn't lose a ball at all here - open very picturesque has a monopoly on water features not just a small ponds but along fairways were a little lost going to a few holes a lil more directions would help but nothing major. Tempted to take up membership - have had lessons here with Ben also top class and the range has so many targets to improve your game and not just mats but outside too. The course feels like a microclimate so close to the M4 and Heathrow. SKip Stockley park and come here
Time consuming
Course if nice, don’t park in the overflow car park, you could damage the underside of your vehicle. Staff were helpful....and the buggy’s were great, with the gps location giving us accurate feedback as to how far we were out on all the holes.
The issue was, we were a 4 ball, we had a 4 ball ahead of us, and a 4 ball behind us.....the group ahead were of a poor standard, and thus took a while, the group behind were of a better standard, and thus were always waiting behind us at tees. The round took too long, it was frustrating. Other then that, I do like the course, the place is nice. Without the backlog of groups playing, I would recommend it.
I played here after a lot of hot & sunny days, so I doubt that I saw the course at its best. That all said, it's certainly pleasant enough that I'd come back again soon.
There seems to be two distinct sections to the course, The first 6 holes are fairly open, and the fairways seem to have struggled in the recent heatwave. The next 12 holes are much more tree lined, and while the fairways are still brown, they look like they'll come back quite quickly given a spell of wet weather. The greens were all in great condition.
There are a couple of tight holes, and there's water that comes into play on a few holes (15, 16, and in front of the 18th green) but generally this is a mostly forgiving and short-ish course that players of all handicaps can enjoy.
Golf day with friends
Course is nice and open.
A flat course with plenty of bunkers.
Good course to improve your game.
Will be playing it again
Great course!
Well laid out and some challenging holes. Definitely one to try if you haven’t played before!
Nice Walk
The last time i played here was probably 15 years ago and back then the course needed maturing certainly the first 5 holes, the rest of the course layout is is a park so it looked mature already.
Fast forward 15 years and not too much as changed, first 5 holes still need to mature, the fairways were rock hard, things got somewhat softer from the 6th onwards.
Now here is the surprise, the greens were unreal. They were true, receptive, quick and they were a pleasure to putt on and must have been running at 10+ on the Stimp.
Overall a decent walk..

Enjoyable course to play, greens were well kept and bunkers had decent sand ( not like hitting on concrete like some course). All round great little course
A nice days golf
Fine weather
Very dry fairways
Good greens and bunkers well tended
