Great course!
Well laid out and some challenging holes. Definitely one to try if you haven’t played before!
Nice Walk
The last time i played here was probably 15 years ago and back then the course needed maturing certainly the first 5 holes, the rest of the course layout is is a park so it looked mature already.
Fast forward 15 years and not too much as changed, first 5 holes still need to mature, the fairways were rock hard, things got somewhat softer from the 6th onwards.
Now here is the surprise, the greens were unreal. They were true, receptive, quick and they were a pleasure to putt on and must have been running at 10+ on the Stimp.
Overall a decent walk..
K Clarke
Enjoyable course to play, greens were well kept and bunkers had decent sand ( not like hitting on concrete like some course). All round great little course
A nice days golf
Fine weather
Very dry fairways
Good greens and bunkers well tended
Richings Park GC
My first time playing here having driven past a thousand times and it didn’t disappoint.
The course is an excellent testing track for all golfers especially when as fiery as it was and playing off the back tees as we did. The tee boxes and greens are in very good condition given the weather and although the front nine fairways are rock hard and brown the back nine were good with plenty of green grass, don’t know if the back nine has fairway sprinklers or not but fair more green grass on them.
It’s got a real mixture of long testing holes and tricky par 3s to suit all golfers and you have to think your way around especially with the ground so hard.
I for one hit my driver 300+ plus so course management is required which is great and makes you work for your score but it’s a fair track I feel.
It’s also got a well set up long driving range for a warm up which is great as well.
We’ll be back in the future.
enjoyable mid-week round
We needed a little help navigating on one or two green-to-tee transitions, but nothing serious. Turf on some fairways and aprons looked worn. However, condition of greens was OK and all holes felt like they were giving you a chance to score, with testing challenges from trees, bunkers and water! Very enjoyable.
Tees and greens in good condition
Nice layout of the course. The tees and greens were in good condition. The fairways were a bit patchy and meant you weren’t always playing off grass but instead wet soiled areas. As a whole was happy with the course but if the fairways were a bit better I would have given it a 5 star rating
Well .......
Greens were very nice condition however fairways let down the course some are like playing in the dessert course has a few tricky holes how ever I think the s/I should be changed on some as S/I 1 hole is very easy well for me and player with me I think 17 is hardest hole and if you tee off after 5 the halfway house will be shut be the time you get there but nice course overall
Good round in late October
Played on my own in October course quite wet but tee boxes and greens spot on
A number of three balls in front of me but pace was good and plenty of offers to go through but no need
The first few holes are links style and ok the next few from 7 onwards are really lovely plenty of nature deer rabbits etc
Food course friendly staff and great facilities well worth the money
