Rye Hill Golf Club - Championship Course

Great course. Good condition, especially the greens! Tee boxes were a little scruffy on some holes but nothing too concerning. Really enjoyable round, exceptionally friendly staff and a great location! Back 9 is a great setup with some amazing driving holes mixed in with some tough, long par 4s! Looking forward to playing again soon.

A decent course, hampered by the recent hot weather. Overall well kept and maintained, and whilst the front 9 is a little unexciting, the back 9 is a little more interesting. Very good value for money!

Challenging course when the wind is up which it was when we played. Some really nice holes on the course.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming, had a good chat with the guy in the bar.

Only negative was the course was lacking signage for new players.

Course layout was not bad, skips around between the 3 sectors of the course, at 6th, 11th.

11th to 18th holes most stylish, others bit plain

Relatively open course with little rough stuff.

Better for beginner or high handicap player.

Tees not flat, greens slow, bunker sand sparse and poor quality.

Having said all that, enjoyed playing here, but score sufferred because of condition.

Bit of care and work on course could improve playability and enjoyment.

course was good but the greens could do with some work. Bunkers are very poor not much care in the preperation.

Played lots of courses around north Oxfordshire and Rye Hill can’t be beaten on value for money or how welcoming they are to guests. Great course conditions, loads of space, some interesting holes and no slow players taking 20 mins to line up a putt - highly recommend.

Nice course, clean, well kept and a nice setting.

The grass on the greens was a bit too long, but that is the only minor issue we found!

Interesting and challenging layout with a lot potential, however can’t say better than average due to very slow greens, tees and bunkers in poor condition and not enough signage for players who don’t know the course.

Overall course was in good shape. The greens were shaggy and super slow. Driving range was just a pasture but functional.

The course is in good condition it was unfortunate that the day I went they were working on the greens, I would avoid for about a week.

Having not played for a while ,we really enjoyed the round ,course in good condition for early spring easy to book tee time ,friendly staff and advised to start straight away as 3 ball were due on the tea .Green fee very sensibly priced.
